The clinic provides mental health assessments for people interested in a trial of a Cannabis-Based Medicinal Product (CBMP).

Cannabis Clinic Cardiff (CCC) is a patient-centred, clinician-led Private Medical Clinic.

Patients can self-refer to the clinic for a FREE eligibility assessment. An initial appointment with a Specialist Consultant will follow, assessing symptoms and medical history to determine your suitability for having a trial of a CBMP.

There is no guarantee that an initial appointment will result in a prescription of a CBMP and any prescribed product will be determined as appropriate following discussion with the prescriber.

At present, CBMPs can only be prescribed for a limited range of conditions and for patients who meet minimum eligibility criteria.

If you are unsure if this applies to your situation, please get in touch and we can answer any questions you have.

They order in like Botanical, they are pretty decent, send estimates before invoice so less chance of a fuck up. Don't do prescription printouts though
They're also pretty sharp at reflecting price drops and often had the £4 - £5/g strains available when other pharmacies wouldn't bother stocking them in the past 👌

Yes mate and when many wouldn't bother with Safricanna and others as I imagine margins are smaller and little things like that speak volumes with me 💯

Botanical Health Dispensary I love the fact it's not how much can we get for a product but more a case of how little can it be sourced and supplied for whilst still making enough to operate ✊
 
I think I'm the unluckiest guy of all time right now.

I made my request with Cannabis Clinic Cardiff for Specials on the 11th May. I still don't have it.

CCC was late sending it, Specials only send Tracked 24 and it's subsuqently seems to have been lost given it was supposed to be here 2 days ago.

I won't be using Specials again unfortunately. The small change in Special Delivery to Tracked 24, according to my postie is a complete demotion in status from Special Delivery to what is essentially now First Class tracked.

I'm literally on day 10 tomorrow and from 3 pharmacies, I've only been sent stuff from Montu.

Sorry, made a mistake, i made the requests on 9/5. So tomorrow is actually 12 days since I made the requests.

Honestly, I couldn't recommend CCC right now unless you're okay with the 2-week window being a reality on occasion.

It's probably worth clarifying I don't blame the clinic, they can't do much once the script has been sent to the pharmacy. They've been trying to help where they can.

2 weeks wait times have been an unfortunate reality for me though and nobody seems to have any answers for why it will be better next order.

I really hope it gets better but when Montu are doubling the speeds of the next pharmacy then something is clearly not quite right.

As usual I'm tired, pissed off and am just left expecting more for something I spend thousands on.

I have talked about shit like this, but usually not on the clinic thread since the clinic is good in what they have control over. They don't control the process at large or the pharmacies.

IPS and Montu are often quicker to deliver since they hold stock. Specials and Botanical Health Dispensary can take longer because they don't hold stock.

Sounds like you've had things on the longer side first off, but it is possible for it to happen sometimes.

I've had plenty of specials orders arrive a lot quicker than your experience. I've only used BHD twice so far.

Get yourself a little stockpile, order before you need to, and try not to have any expectation about delivery dates. I think that's how most of us try and operate with it

I was told in the beginning to order 2 weeks before I expect to run out so that nullified any stress of running out for me and I've always ordered with that in mind so never really stressed waiting for a delivery but in fairness IPS have always been 2-3 days max for me and Montu have been a bit slower but I've hardly used them specials are an order in pharmacy so I taper expectations but usually 2-4or5 days and more recently Botanical Health Dispensary who have had products to send out ready in 2 days but usually a bit longer and they keep you in the loop the whole time and so no really extensive waits for me as of yet and never getting near the two weeks buffer I was told to use but I also tend top use one or possibly two pharmacies max at a time.
You'll find what works for you mate and which pharmacies suit best for which products but it's all about the suggested two weeks before your due to run low and you take the time devil out of the equation ,save money and never run out and delays of most sorts become trivial ✊
The chief had a similar experience recently with IPS saying they sent him an invoice whilst he waited all week with no sign of an invoice but Like Lank says a lot of this down to the pharmacy and out of Cannabis Clinic Cardiff's control.

I don't think it's the clinics fault but it is their problem if patients have to wait 2-weeks for medication when thats literally unheard of at every other clinic in the country. I never had these issues using external pharmacies with Alternaleaf or CB1 Medical which is why I'm a little shocked.

The other reason the clinic deserve some blame is because it took them 5 days to approve and print my script, then a further 2 days to send it to Specials. That pissed me off to be completely honest.

I did have a 4-week stockpile, I've used pretty much all of it unfortunately and I don't think I'll be able to rebuild it any time soon. My script covers what I use, there's no wiggle room in it. Unluckily for me I only ordered 20g in my last month with Medicann, that's 100g less than usual so the reserves got eaten in to quite a bit. and then with this wait they've been eaten into further.

Without a buffer its impossible for me to order before I need too. For example if I did 2 weeks worth day, I'd have to do the other 2-weeks worth today to make sure it does arrive in 2-weeks time.

Honestly, I think its a bad fix to the situation if we have to try and ignore how bad the shipping and processing is, if it was like 5 days max then fair enough but we're more than doubling that. I'll accept I may have been really unlucky this time around but logistically, this is the worst I've ever experienced at any clinic/pharmacy relationship. It probably needs to be discussed more on here to be honest, it feels like Cannabis Clinic Cardiff gets painted as some king of the industry but they have a major flaw that if I knew about, I wouldn't have joined and it seems my experiences have made some others think twice as well.

CCC told me themselves that they would advise using Specials as they're by far the fastest as well fwiw.

The 2-week thing doesn't make any sense though? How can I order 2-weeks in advance of when I'm expected to run out when my first delivery takes 2 weeks? that means I need to order again today to make sure i don't run out in another 2 weeks? That system only works if you've got more than you need, they've only given me exactly what I need.

Botanical I've found to be good despite the late deliveries, noticed how i've never thrown them under the bus because they keep you up to date and seem to work at an efficient pace.

I was expecting 5 days for Specials and Botanical, it's 12 days today, 11 for Special because it came at 830pm last night. Even with your tapered expectations I've still doubled the delivery window and then some.

I think the only fix to this that I can control is a 50g limit increase otherwise it will be impossible for me to ever build up any kind of buffer with them.

Like what are the chances of this happening -
Make script request --> 1st few approved same day, last 1 took 5 days to approve and send --> Botanical goes OOS --> Montu nuke my account --> Specials have delivery issues.

It's a lot to deal with in what is supposed to be the most stress-free experience around.

Last thing I'll say on this as I don't want it to become the Moaning JA thread. - at least until something else happens lol.

I'm genuinely split on these guys.

On one hand the medical side is fantastic, the admin team are very good and the communication is good. The portal is servicable considering its new.

I don't need to explain the other hand again lol. Not their fault, but it is their problem.

You'll still see me recommend them and call them the best clinic as I don't think my 2-week experience trumps the multiple months and years from the rest of you. I don't think you're all crazy either so there must be something to this whole thing. And as we've discussed in depth, my issues are largely post clinic at the moment.

So if anyone here is reading my experiences and being put off by them, I would encourage you to take it all with a healthy pinch of salt as this isn't the norm, I'm very impatient and a little bit mentally fried as well. If my next script takes 2-weeks then I'll be sure to let the world know but I think its probably wise to chalk this down to a really unlucky start even though it's drove me mental.

You've deffo had an extreme experience compared to what's happened with me and I've always had requests wrote that day or the next thus far (except for a portal issue late last year when I had to contact them)so the specials request definitely was like a spanner in the works and strangely I've not used bank transfer with Specials ever but I've not used them for say 5 or 6 months so must be a new thing but yes with Botanical Health Dispensary it's always been that way with me when paying although it surprised me the first time.
The two weeks makes perfect sense to me and has worked well for me but when you arrive as a new patient obviously we'll all have different amounts to start with and just to note your limits completely replenish on the 1st of the month.

My latest example of an order is I requested 20g and a cart on the 14th (Thurs)10g to IPS and 10g and a cart to BHD then on the 18th (Mon) I paid my IPS invoice and received on Tuesday and I also paid my BHD invoice on Tuesday and am receiving the items today so when I just reviewed it on emails it turns out it's took a week to complete with some stuff arriving two days ago and I'd say they both took a day longer than usual but I have got my self to a point where I'm topping up over time.

I didn't look at limits and timing in the beginning and strictly followed the I'm going to run out in two weeks theory until I was in a position of strength (although I probably stayed within limits in hindsight)

Also mate talk to them with your issue and suggestions to fix it.

To be fair to them they did explain it to me as a staff training week which is obviously just shit timing.

I like the idea of the 2 weeks but you need to get ahead of yourself first to make it work properly without worry. I did forget things reset on the 1st, which actually may create a decent enough buffer for me. That's a really good point that may have fixed this all for me from a scarcity perspective.

Those timings you've had with IPS and Botanical are great, I'd be happy with those if that's the typical going rate. Weirdly I have the most confidence in Montu at the moment.

Given the 1st of the month reset thing I think I'll have to do what you do and stick to the 2 week thing religiously, having some kept behind from this month and then a small BM top up to get that 2 week buffer.

I think i've probably ballsed up in terms of my allowance as well. My last few months have hovered around 120g, I'm trying to get that down so my limit is 100g. I should probably see if they're willing to bump that to 120-130g just to allow some breathing space with stock building.

I have been talking to them non-stop and its one of the reasons I feel very conflicted about them as I can see they're doing everything they can, going beyond any other clinic in trying to sort it.

Really they need a system that communicate with the pharmacies digitally so things can get prepped quicker. I think My Pharmacy do this with them iirc. Dr Dave did say thats in the works though so if I have some patience I may well be alright.

I can't believe the bad rap Cantourage have, you'd think they'd have their shit together by now.

You'll collect a lot of good experiences like this and you'll see why we don't moan on here 😄

My great experience today is being able to get an extract allowance as soon as the products dropped and make an order which will go out tomorrow.
