We’re here to help you understand if medical cannabis is right for you. Curaleaf Clinic is a licensed and regulated private clinic with specialist doctors who can prescribe medical cannabis to eligible patients with a range of conditions.

At Curaleaf Clinic, we are committed to helping patients with chronic health conditions when traditional therapies fail.

We were founded by doctors, who believe in the potential of medical cannabis and are passionate about making it accessible to those who are eligible. We are proud to be one of the longest-running cannabis clinics in the UK and are humbled to support thousands of patients.

But we are not just a clinic; we are leaders in medical cannabis research. Our UK Medical Cannabis Registry is helping to shape the future of medical cannabis, improving prescribing practices, and increasing understanding of this important medicine. When you choose Curaleaf Clinic, you benefit from the expertise of our dedicated healthcare professionals and researchers, who are among the most experienced in the UK.

Curaleaf Clinic has been at the forefront of medical cannabis care in the United Kingdom since its foundation in 2019. Following the UK law change in November 2018, which allowed doctors on the General Medical Council’s specialist register to prescribe cannabis-based medicines, we became the first clinic registered with the CQC (CQC).

We went on to establish the UK Medical Cannabis Registry, now the largest of its kind globally, to document patient outcomes and build evidence for cannabis-based treatments across various conditions. This registry helps us continually improve our care and contributes to the growing body of scientific knowledge on the subject.

Our goal is to offer treatment options grounded in the latest research, supporting patients with complex conditions who may benefit from medical cannabis as part of their wider care plan.

At Curaleaf Clinic, our patients benefit from:

  • An initial review with a senior consultant that specialises in their condition.
  • Personalised care plans based on the latest research.
  • Ongoing patient support and regular follow-ups.
  • Online portal to manage appointments and prescriptions.
  • Opportunity to contribute to the UK Medical Cannabis Registry.
We understand the toll a chronic condition can take on your day-to-day life. We’re here to provide clear, compassionate guidance as you explore whether a medical cannabis consultation is right for you.

Have I just been shafted by Curaleaf ? And what to do.
Just paid up front money to help with costs of zoom calls. During my recent zoom call meeting, I discussed with the doctor changes to my prescription ordering to include more strains and more affordable ones for me. On ordering a new prescription, which is overdue, I find that I am now unable to repeat previous strains (unavailable) but available on MedBud and the Curaleaf pharmacy, less choice and more expensive Curaleaf brand stuff only.
Seems ironic given my payment to the scheme....

Welcome, the short answer would be that Curaleaf are generally quite poor at patient outcomes and quite good at making money unfortunately

A lot of folks arrive here after having started with them and end up moving clinic. They are very limiting in terms of what they want you to buy, and it's either their own stuff or brands they get a big cut on apparently

I would say best thing is to have a read round the forum on clinic experiences, both Curaleaf and others, and see how you feel about it all

This listing on MedBud are Curaleaf Pharmacy and not the clinic unfortunately and it does seem bizarre/unfair :(

Here's the warning we have on the Curaleaf Pharmacy page as it serves other clinics too.

Thanks for your reply. Not sure what to do anymore as there is nothing suitable on the clinics formulary that interests me and I have just wasted £100 on the scheme.

Have a look at their £10 per month access scheme that they offer and ask to be transferred into this and request a refund for what you have paid upfront? The Safricanna purple punch is ok at £5.50g or the Green Joy banana gas at £6g is excellent value. Are you selecting “all” in the drop down menu in their formulary? Also, MedBud is great but not always 100% up to date due to the constant changes in products and prices.

Gee's that is a real downer and their clinic formulary could well pick up and if you are new with them and I'm sure they make more available to you as they gain experience with you as a patient and this has been the way for a bit now where with new patients they make available their own products to begin with sadly.

I know it doesn't sound ideal after paying out £100 but many clinics offer free transferal and no fees or £5 -£6/month (which may be postage) and a much better selection if the worst comes to the worst and bare in mind £5/month can easily be saved with a good selection of meds to choose from .

Really sorry to hear about you experience @Darrell 🙏

Been with them a year now and had a recent break- they offer me more expensive strains which I am unable to afford.

Have just ordered the Purple punch, bit didnt consider Banana gas as it had very poor reviews.

Indeed, had considered swapping clinics to Medicann which may have been a better option.

Well it is either that, or the b.m. Thanks Dooby doo. I guess I have been a bit naive- its a business after all.
I was in this position this time last year, I didn't have a say on strains or the prices of my prescription. I moved to another cl8nic after chatting on here, i couldn't believe everyone was choosing their own flower, I'd suggest doing the same if your not happy, get your money back if you can or get your moneys worth from them and change clinics 👍

Good advice- have you found a clinic that provides this ?

I'd recommend jumping over to Medicann all day long - save yourself a massive headache

Free to join, no monthly fees - pick what you want when you want no allowance or THC limits

Pay only for your delivery (£5 per prescription)

Huge formulary with discounts

Thank me later 🤟 🫶

(This is not medical advice, only my personal opinion)

I'm with CB1 Medical and i get to choose my own flower/oils ect thats under my umbrella of medications. It was free to transfer from my clinic to them for the first 12mths, £50 per year after and I pick what I can afford each month. There are other clinics too that you could transfer to.

@Darrell I would recommend the banana gas.. I was dubious myself having seen some reviews but for me it’s good medicine, I prefer it to any bm strain I have access to & it’s cheaper for me.
