🌞 What Are You Consuming Today?

It's about following the law/regs - imagine if your NHS GP started stating you had to visit X pharmacy to have your medication dispensed.

I have made this point myself several times, one company getting away with controversial practices makes the whole industry vulnerable. It's a media exposé waiting to happen,
And no doubt that media exposè will happen the second some rich boy starts getting his pockets hit.

They're verging on Amazon for weed and you can get signed up without ever speaking to a doctor. It is wild when you think about it and it's got me thinking they may not be a long term presence without some big changes.

They can't be this stupid though surely? Especially with their existing industry experience. I know Sunny is getting paid though, so maybe it's a cash in whilst you can scenario.

I don't know if you're aware, but have the other clinics and industry in general taken quite a dim view of them? Or is it a mind ya business situation?

Help me out here plz peeps.. I’m deciding which clinic to go to and just when I think I’ve worked it out I realise I’m none the wiser..

With CB1 Medical and Alternaleaf I could I request any item from any pharmacy? Any clinical support : quantity controls etc?

With Medicann I can get what I want when I want as long as it is in their pharmacy? What’s the max cap per month?

I don't think anyone who hasn't any experience of Cannabis would be allowed a prescription without being seen by a doctor.
I think the likes of myself who have 46 years experience of using Cannabis, grown my own Cannabis, 2 yrs experience of using Medical Cannabis and on my 3rd Clinic, I shouldn't have to see a doctor unless i'm having issues with a medication. There's also this needing to be put into the equation.

Medicann - no monthly limit or THC cap - order what u want when u want (£5 per delivery) including vapes and oils - you will be monitored but way more relaxed compared to the likes of cb1

Know people that are on as much as 200-260g a month so it depends on your current usage

People will just go back to BM mate or order Medical Cannabis and BM I know i would at my age i've nothing to lose

Bluntly, I'm having to hold back a lot right now - because I've spoken a lot about the situation with different corners of the industry, and there's a ton it's just not appropriate for me to say publicly. Sunny is a good egg generally, a past doctor for me, he lives close-by locally, and is someone I hugely respect amongst the industry.

If you'll forgive me, I've said enough publicly for the moment - but in short, yes I don't think service can continue exact how it is in the long-run.

Regulators have had reports from others, we'll see what happens in the end.

That is would make my life easier & cheaper. I can’t even talk about my current clinic situation without getting upset so am focusing on the exit plan and new clinic from next month.

I'm only a 60g use per month max anyway with flower, ideally it would be 60-90g. Some months I only order 40-50g.
I think if people are knowingly being greedy and not giving other folk a chance of strains then that sort of behaviour should stop.
I think most of us with Medicann are experienced knowledgeable and sensible at medicann but obviously there's some people spoiling it?

I’m after cheaper flower and flexible ordering so how good is their formulary in terms of price and cost in your experience?

I agree if you're experienced you shouldn't need to, I don't get regular reviews for any other medication I'm on but they did change things so that you no longer have a doctor's call and if you are new to cannabis I can see multiple safeguarding issues arising.

Even things like the first review with patients. For us that's just annoying admin but if you're new I reckon that can feel quite isolating.

That said there are clinics for less experienced users so I'm not trying to hate on Medicann. Just trying to view things from an outsiders perspective.

Is hate for this clinic to fall because they were cutting corners you know.

Sometimes saying nothing is all you need to say. I appreciate you're between a rock and a hard place.

I'm sure they'll be a time to air your views but I respect that time isn't now.

200+ g per month my mind is blown. I’m not judging anyone’s consumption needs but that’s smoking spliffs for a large number of hours per day every day and might want to consider a couple of hours tolerance break. Why would people hoard it when there’s always product available.

Medicann is your go to if thats your main criteria, formulary is massive + plenty of stock atm & lots of discounts that are typically not available elsewhere

I used to smoke a Q/7g a day at a point in time so its easily done believe it or not (7x30 = 210g)

Just to echo what the other chaps have said. It's a good clinic.

As I say to everyone else if you're cool with little support with doctors and no phone line support along with the infamous pharmacy lock then Medicann will be a wonderful shock of speed and efficiency for you.

They do have decent email support so it's not the complete wild west fwiw.

The cheapest flower is best accessible via Cannabis Clinic Cardiff, because you can order from any pharmacy - and can do so as many times as you like in a month up to your agreed limit, using however many pharmacies you need at the time. They are probably the most expensive 'popular' clinic at £33/pm, but many justify that based upon ease-of-use and accessibility to all flower.

They saved my medical cannabis experience, after continual fuck-ups by my two prior clinic - I must have been with them for 2-3 years now, with just about perfect service.

It's also worth looking at Alternaleaf, range is roughly the same size as Medicann, but no pharmacy lock - and you can request off-formulary items.

I'm sure they'll be a time to air your views but I respect that time isn't now.
It's a complex situation for sure, my discretion is paramount when it comes down to MC companies complaining about one another to regulators. Appreciate the understanding.

ccc patients cant access medicanns discounts though so that might be something to take note of aswell (as medicann operate as a clinic not a pharmacy but have their own formulary consisting of IPS stock + another unknown pharmacy)

Yes, Medicann are breaking the regs by trying to bias a pharmacy's availability/price for medication to only patients of a particular clinic - something that breaks GPhC regulations for IPS. It is not the norm, everywhere else should accept CCC scripts without issue.

@Scriptoh really appreciate your advice about Medicann and as a 5 decade user it sounds like it’s a good option for me to consider. 👍🏽

Sorry I didnt mean to sound like a douche there targetting CCC, I need to rephrase that... its all clinics - no other clinic can access Medicanns formulary at this moment in time
