Are we able to get clear COA on these meds?

If the mould was present and irradiated and thus tested within limits for aflatoxins and ochratoxin A then it could still pass regs. As essentially it’s safe.

However, if that mould was there long enough to produce toxin, no amount of radiation is going to remove them.

Mine was from this batch. I couldn’t find mold, but it has the same mould / mildew smell as the discontinued 4C Labs plat garlic has. Both graced my bin after one vape.

Unfortunately they are well within their rights to tell us absolutely sod all, so the chances of seeing a COA are slim to say the least!

I can't see anything changing but lord I hope so.

Sounds like its been present and not been destroyed by the radiation .

I have never seen mould in 30 strains i have tried but 4 different strains i have had very bad mildew smell

I think the Mildew smell is a sign of the batch having mould before being radiated/treated. I can't prove that, just my feelings.

I've had mouldy weed on medical but I think this specific PK issue is the single worst I've ever seen, it's full on, developed bud rot. Its insane!

I'd be shocked if this was mouldy from the packaging but I guess anything is up for investigation in the supply chain.

An inexperienced, immunocompromised patient may have vaped this, it's completely unacceptable.

No mould in mac daddy but mac1 can be susceptible to mildew / mould if not dialled in but mac doughnut with harder nugs was sweet and clean .

If there is no mould present when the bud was irradiated and it was irradiated in a sealed bag, then I can not see how mould could grow on it. A full and proper irradiation will kill all microbial life. It won’t remove spores, but they’ll no longer be active. The issues isn’t really the spores as such, it’s their toxins, and as I said previously, no amount of radiation will get rid of toxins. Only really chemicals and heat,

So, if this was bagged and irradiated immediately then that mould had to be present before bagging. If that bud sat around in a bag for maybe a few months in another market, say, Europe, before needing to be irradiated when hitting uk shores,…. Then yes mould could form, and will likely have toxins on that amount of mould,

So, there is a small minor possibility that that bud could pass a regs test in uk with that level of mould, so long as toxins are not present. This doesn’t make it acceptable of course. So radiation will remove the activity of the mould spore, kill it, but won’t actually remove its spores, which of course you don’t really want to be inhaling, active or not,

I’ve not seen any direct mould on any MC, I’ve had mould on plenty of BM over the decades, I’ve grown crops that would mould, but as you has said, that mildew smell is present in a few and it’s very off putting…

It's very good alot more effective than alot of more expensive strains , when available i use this and jet fuel as jar fillers

A chap on the reddit thread for the mould has also reported headaches from the same batch.

Might be worth keeping an eye on how you're feeling!

All good, I'm sensitive to headaches and migraines and I would be on here like a shot if one was giving me a headache again (only Glass Pharms so far on medical)

Insightful response , thanks nick. so the mycelium white fuzz could still be present but not toxic and the mildew could pass regs.

I wonder if we brought this up would it be put to us that its not toxic and has passed all uk regulations lol look at the paper dont trust your nose or eyes pmsl.

Sounds like mildew might be with us forever in MC as we are the 1st to detect it if overlooked at their end and what do you say its smells like mildew lol they would prob say its a terp lol

Mould to me smells like if you left swimming stuff in a bag for a week without drying it , wet mould smell similar to mildew.

Mildew to me smells like dry mould old wadrobe type but is present in damp weed just like mould but it is also present in very dry weed.

Botryitis / budrot. Smells nasty like all the above and shroomy and seen old peanut to describe it which is spot on.

Mushy in texture and spore like clouds are what to look and feel for but eyes will detect it with discolouring and smel is the tell.

The nose knows as they say , easy to pick out good clean weed and terpenes n flavourants but more important to detect the bad as with food as that will keep you alive and well and not waste yer dough on shit weed thats easily detectable lol.

Pesticides are more of a worry in food especially in strawberries.
Yeah someone prob got mixed up with remediation than irradiation or it came from a place like canada where they do irradiate food so are we following canadas rules rather than the eu but why so different if all organic product but its ok cos they have labled it on canna packs

Could we push for non irradiated but remediated in eu and sticking with current eu laws on produce
