Still Deciding
Hi all,

I joined the forum yesterday and am really pleased to be here. Three years ago I was admitted to intensive care with Legionnaires Disease, which has left me with chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia. I have had a number of treatments over the past three years, including a TENS unit, Pregabilin, Duloxetine, Co-codamol and Tramadol.

Unfortunately none of these has worked particularly well and my days are generally spent working from home as it just whacks me too much to travel and walk any distance. I also live with Generalised Anxiety Disorder which doesn’t help!

So I applied to Medicann and have an appointment in three weeks time - they must be really busy - and I’m hoping to be accepted. I have already been researching vapes and I seem to have settled on the POTV Lobo. However I think you can only choose 3 or 6 minute sessions and I’m hoping to microdose in the first instance to see how it goes. I don’t think the Lobo allows you to do instant heat ups for one hit at a time so may need to rethink that.

Anyway, that’s why I’m here - I’m looking forward to learning more and it’s good to be here.

Welcome @coldcell23 That's a big list of stuff to deal with and you are still working!

Medicann are fast with the script and delivery but as you say they are busy recently. Theres a lot of patient churn with clinics, sometimes like lemmings 8)

I have CFS/PEM/MCAS to name a few. I hope MC gets you feeling better, let us know 8)

Hello bud, hope you're well and welcome to the forums!

My partner has been through a similar pattern of being asked to try X, Y, Z from the GP all with varying degrees of side effects, sedation, nausea, anxiety, profuse sweating, the last lot being Nefopam which was causing toxicity in her liver, 48hrs in hospital and a heart rate of 150bpm for 24hrs was enough for her to completely peel away from pharmaceutical medications and relies solely on natures medication, I hope you find results the same way my partner has.. The side effects from medication issued by GP's are no joke 😐🙏

Any questions don't hesitate to ask, there's always someone who will offer help & advice 👍

Hail to the chief

Welcome to the forums and its great to have someone that knows their Drumnadrochit from their Ballachulish.
I hope the wait for your first appointment goes by quickly and I am sure you will be catered for at Medicann.
We have some very experienced vapers in our midst and I will defer to their knowledge other than that thanks for introducing yourself :)

hello and welcome

Thanks all for your welcome. I’m really coming to this with no real experience of cannabis, so seeing all the different strains and the different prices is a tad overwhelming. I’m sure it will all start to make sense though - and knowing what I’m like I’ll get hyper focused on it all. 🤣

So I got accepted which was brilliant. 15 mins phone call, then three hours later got the acceptance email and the order will be arriving Tuesday. So I’m glad that’s out of the way! It’s been a bit stressy on the lead up to the phone call, but I can chill now - I’ve ordered a vape too, so all set for the next part of this journey.

Hope you’re all having a good Friday night whatever you are up to.

Great news and seeing as your newish to cannabis it'll be good to go slow in the beginning whilst you build up a tolerance but hopefully the benefits will be noticeable and then you'll get used to the differences in strain types and what works for you personally.
