Hi, I've been booted out of this site for the last month or so. It seems some new restrictions came in, I'm not techie enough to know if it was my router or what. I've now got a vpn that is allowing me to bypass the restrictions. Has anyone else heard of this? Obvs those who can't get in can't comment...

Could be your ISP has a policy to block what they think are 'naughty' sites

Can happen with mobile data based on carrier rules too, sometimes you can turn them off, worth contacting your ISP / mobile phone carrier depending where the issue is

What network are you trying to access the site from.
Your home network?
If so who is your ISP or provider of your network/internet?
If it is your home network I think there will be child safety firewalls/blocks activated at a router level as some ISP do that.
If it is a work network, I would stop accessing MedBud from it as they dont want you to and always keep logs ! :D

Its my home network, it was working until a few weeks ago then all cannabis related sites were blocked. My internet comes through 1p mobile, through EE. I live with a teen so I don't want to go unblocking things that might protect her

Yes
Are there any other sites that are affected? I dont want to direct you to naughty sites but there are many that would flag a block other than MedBud.
I would test with a few other more risque sites to see if block is not just MedBud.
If its a larger block then you can usually fix it by going to accessing the router control panel , as follows :
> 192.168.1.1
You type that into the internet browser instead of a webpage, type in your router password (bottom of router) and look for child safety/blocking options.
This is all very technical. Really as an adult over 18 you can just call your provider and ask them to fix it or guide you.

If the block seems ONLY to be on MedBud then you should probably speak to the sites uber techgnome guru's. I am just a passing nerd.

Can you screenshot what you see when trying to access the site please? In terms of error message or whatever.

In 99% of cases I've seen so far, this is because you have parental controls on from your ISP - take a look at this website:

We're currently blocked (if parental filters are active) via BT, Virgin Media and Vodafone.

There are otherwise a few automated blocks in-place at the firewall level for certain types of requests, based upon browser profiling - we've had several large DDoS attacks over the years. Generally speaking, it's worth seeing if another browser (without VPN) allows you to access okay too.

I missed this earlier, yes that'll be why it's occurring unfortunately. A VPN will always get around it, but we've had mix success so far appealing age-restriction blocks from ISPs.
