Hi all. 44 years toking, got my 1st script & am totally underwhelmed !
All I can taste (of the little flavour) is chems !! 1 out of 4 bags is anywhere near "good" after days in a jar !
My question are;
Why the lack of expiry dates on packs ?
Most important for me, soil grown - no chem's grows ? How many are there ?
Finally what is the complaint procedure with slack product , quality control ? I foresee an interesting chat with trading standards ?!
Appreciate the site & all the work gone into sorting it

Welcome to the forum and thanks for your questions. It sounds like you first script was not what you were looking for and hopefully there is products on medical that will tick the boxes you need. It can be a mixed bag for sure.

Why the lack of expiry dates on packs ?

Every pack I have ever had has an expiry on it.
What brand was it lacking on?

Most important for me, soil grown - no chem's grows ? How many are there ?

There is few soil grown or organic products however we do keep a track of them here. Everything on UK medical has been remediated in one way or another tho with some form of treatment.

Ive tried searching on Montu (on my phone) but get nowhere and their listings don’t seem to specify whether organic or not. Eg 4C Labs Lucy in the Sky.

Each individual clinic will have its own complaints procedure and QA process to follow depending on what issue you report. There is no regulator, that is approachable by patients, in charge of clinical standards specifically for Cannabis based medicine (Like OFCOM OFGEM etc)

Hope that your experience improves and I hope that the clinic you are with is giving you a full range of medications to chose from as there is some good stuff out there.

If you have a quality control issue your first point of contact should be the pharmacy that you received it from but also followed up by a yellow card complaint

Welcome! In short MC is a journey, you haven't arrived yet! Like you I'm a vet, 53 years with the plant around the world. Started MC near 3 years ago for pain, insomnia, inflamation etc... the first tub I was prescribed, I had to have it as no choice offered, it was ofc was absolutely crap. The market has improved a lot since then. I have products that work for pain very well, insomnia is a tougher ask for me.

You will spend a lot of time researching what suits your needs best, no product really relates to it's BM namesake. They are generally "muted" in aroma and taste ... but may be very dry brown and utterly devoid of terpenes, but a handful always stand out as being good enough. As for complaints, there are very few situations where this is possible ie number of mature seeds, stalks. Terpless, dry, brown are not grounds for complaint. No mould hence the usual irradiation, plenty without that treatment.

You will likely find what you need, but you need to dig to find it, enjoy MedBud it's the biggest MC product database with discussion in the UK.

Golden Gauth. DoE Britz. Lamb of god & crumbled lime. Lamb of god is the only one to perk up after a week in jar still only 60% tho!! Britz tasted of washing up liquid GG was all chemical , Lime was tiny dry nugs with a hint of mould. whilst my street weed is getting cheaper, better & more varied than ever ?

I just can't fathom how they balls it up so bad ?! When all the street weed I see is banging ? re organics, I always prefer soil grown no chems etc for the taste & terpenes but as ever quantifying it is another matter.

Im not going to gloss over the fact if you have a decent BM supplier for a good price then medical isnt going to beat it, it never will for the reasons that you say.
There shouldnt be a variation in quality like you describe and some of the strains you mention I have had from Medicann, and they have been ok for me, so im angry for you that what you got was poor.
You can taste yourself.
The most recent and most expensive flower I bought on medical gave me a chesty cough its still the wild west out there.
On the other hand if you have naff suppliers, no willingness to meet people who potentially rip you off on street corners, or a plethora of moral or legal reasons why you want Medical cannabis then is still a good proposition.
Im glad you didnt pay for joining a clinic so you can decide what is the best value and quality option for you to be medicated

Saying that i kind of like Cura Tripoli and High Silver, but someone got a bad batch of High Silver recently. It's hit and miss. A late I just buy stuff for £40 for 10g. Some taste really good and all smell like cannabis. But I only eat it nowadays. My lungs won't take vaping it. But even crap weed can be turned into oil and then into edibles.
