Hi everyone
My first post, it's my partner who is the patient not me.
Can anyone help please?
My partner's had Curaleaf GG4 for a while and it has varied in quality/dryness but has always had a decent medical effect for him until the last couple of batches which have been really poor, the previous script was extremely dry, dusty mouldy smelling and tasting so much so we raised a quality complaint and are sending it back.
As my partner had no other nightime meds he was prescribed another GG4 script as a replacement (at our cost) which arrived last week which unfortunately is not much better still extremely dry and dusty, raspy on the chest when vaped.
With it being a replacement script already and being Christmas (his Dr away for 2 weeks!) no chance of a replacement script this time.Curaleaf have sent Boveda Boost pack 55% with order- can this revive seriously bad quality bud?
Any advice?
Please don't just say 'Curaleaf are shit etc,' not helpful
Many thanks and Merry Christmas 🎄

Welcome @Kate and Merry Christmas to you too.
Seem's there are a lot of problem's with this product ,but my immediate advice would be to get a Boveda with a lot higher humidity rating ,the boveda's I use are 62% and I feel this is not enough sometimes to revive dry/dead bud .
I've seem people use 72% Boveda's for a more immediate boost .
Just trying to put up a couple of solutions that could be accessed in a day or so and hopefully others will add there solutions they use in this situation.
Once again welcome to the forum.

Thanks, I know Boveda unlikely to magically transform it into sticky weed, but just want to get it so it's usable and not going to give him a raspy chest so fingers crossed

Merry Christmas to you and all, I am a Curaleaf patient and I highlighted this issues several times since start of the year as I’ve noticed the same problem with repeated flower like GG4, High Silver, White Widow and OG Kush, those were always on my repeat but noticed the dryness and texture plus colour from my first batch last year when I joined under Sapphire July/august 2023 when I joined, after the changes from sapphire to Curaleaf end of last year start of 2024 this is when I noticed the difference of quality gone down but when I’ve my appointment I let them know but they never take notice of it, they operate differently from other clinics the alternative is not suitable when products OOS so I get stuck and you’ve to make appointments pay £50 to request different products which’s unfair to be honest, I will be seeking any advise as well please 🙏🏽 and thank you Merry Christmas 🎄 have a blessed Boxing Day everyone 😊

Yes I’ve used Boveda, not just to rehydrate over dried bud, but to store it to stop it drying out. I use the 62.5%Rh packs. It definitely helps!! Takes 2 days sitting in the jar for equalisation of humidity, but well worth it in my opinion.

I noticed the really dry flower from some of the clinics on vids on YouTube (another reason I want to go rosin carts). I’d like to assume they’ll start putting hydration packs in with the flower as standard - I’m not sure how the boveda packs would work in plastic containers or top seal style baggies though. Mason jars all the way.

I also think it’s why some clinics want you to vape, if you smoked it it would mess your chest right up being bone dry like that, if a plug turned up with bone dry bud you’d be asking for another batch or getting a new plug 😂

You are doing so well as a moderator mate, just saying like. Anyway I'll help. That Curaleaf I tried once, desperate but NDD underwhelming wasn't the word mate. Never before and never again.

Cheers dude and doesn't always feel like it but with peeps like yourself and others about the gaff's moderate most of the time and personally node your a great help and support for me and I appreciate you and others more than you realise ✊

Felt like Arthur Scargill then with my NUM bomber jacket on :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: with the gg4

I'll tell you what, there's some flower that I find literally needs around 2 months before starting to bounce back a bit. Last night, my last big bud of the GLO Tenacious after weeks left in the bag tasted divine, and so much better than the rest of the batch – it was dispensed 14th November. Also had unexpectedly strong effects from it.

It's somewhat frustrating we're meant to be dispensed for just a 30 day supply at a time, yet some bud really does take that long to start improving with humidity packs.

Many have recommended I get a hydrostone for faster rehydration, so think that's my next thing to try.
