This is why I consume medical cannabis, 3rd generation after my mum and my nan (RIP) who have suffered from crippling migraines, I go through the aura stages (nervous system) of blurred vision, flashing lights, loss of feeling in my finger tips then sudden tingling and the onset of a full blown migraine follows rapidly, I go through the aura phase quickly aswell so within 10/15 minutes I can go from fine to aura stage to head in a toilet being sick, needing to sleep in complete darkness, completely volatile to any form of light.
Sumatriptan takes 30-60 minutes to work which simply isn't quick enough, Rizatriptan takes up to 30 minutes which again is too long to reverse the aura phase and return to a normal state, both medications make me feel really drowsy to the point I'll sleep obscene amounts of hours, feel like pure shite after taking them really low energy levels and a little unbalanced on my feet.
I still need to dive into research but from my own experiences I need
Caryophyllene in there which binds specifically to the CB2 receptor for me to reverse the aura effects, it's a MASSIVE benefit that cannabis takes a mere few minutes to start taking effect, it absolutely batters anything man-made pharma wise and I lead a life of preventing migraines rather than curing them, much better for me, much better for life with 2 kids at home!
