Surely not having access to the current COA to determine terpene profile for each batch makes a mockery of "medical cannabis".
Do some brands publish COA's for each batch?
I need strains that help with sleep and pain but have no or very little Myrcene. It's really frustrating!

Purely boils down too whether a cultivator wants to fork out the money for COA's.

I hope at some point soon it becomes a mandatory requirement, it's vital information and partially what makes cannabis effective as a medication, the terpenes.

Yeah it should be a legal requirement. I guess it would be another excuse to put the prices up. But if it helped to purchase the best medication for your needs then it might reduce the amount I end up not using because it's no good for my condition. Hence would possibly save money in the long term.

I agree 100% I've gone in blind on a couple products now where there has been no information other than THC percentage and if it has been irradiated.

I know @Muiredach commented that MedBud are making ground chasing things up to help patients make a fuller, more informed decision with several brands such as Big Narstie Medical and IPS branded products.
