Morning everyone

I thought it’d be nice to have a little chat thread, share some pet pics, chat about other stuff you’re up to or whatever.

If no one’s keen then that’s also fine 😂❤️

Final bits of the summer harvest are coming in this week really, winter veg is on its way! Hopefully carrots parsnips sprouts and cauliflower on Christmas Day from the garden this year.

Loads of fun garden jobs on the list this winter, major landscaping of the front garden and side of house needs to be done ready for planting next year.

I’ve got 2 dogs, whippets. Rocco (7) and Betty (approx 2?) and 3 cats, and a wonderful husband.

I’d definately be quite happy doing nothing more than pottering in the garden. Tending a vegetable patch and reading to pass the days, but alas I am still a working artist, and I do love that to.

Looking forward to finding out more about some of you 🥰

Really nice haul ✨ Whatya cooking for your nice tribe? 🍽️

(Am easy to dox, so am a little reserved about my sharing of details. Bad experiences.)
Nope I totally understand that. My job means I’m known online anyway so I kinda have a level I share if that makes sense ?

Runner beans are usually the side dish on everything haha and I’ll be making a big batch of ratatouille tomorrow ❤️
Sounds like you are loving life which is great I have partner a girl and a boy a dog and a cat.
I also like gardening

Well it’s easier to cope with lots of things if you always have gratitude for what you do have I find, and the simpler life is. The better ❤️

Great idea @BlackSheepVegan it'll Save a lot of off topic stuff overtaking threads at times, Sort of a more "Getting to know you" you know the song, type of thread. I've been married 10 years and we have a son in his early twenties, Two dogs and a rabbit like @JR52 I also love gardening/sitting in the garden ,each year getting a little further with it. One thing I've never grown is veg ,not even spuds, but I suppose on the flip side , that's something to enjoy going forward. An like @BudWarrior mentions about being doxed, this has dawned on me recently.
Here's a little pic of The boss! As you can see she's not to impressed with dad sat typing. Dottie is nearly 8 .

I skipped this year growing - pennies were low, but my last year I had an amazing harvest of tomatoes, chillis and over a dozen herbs! I haven't actually ever grown a winter crop before.

For me I'm looking after my nearly 14 year old Border Collie x Golden Retriever, he has a fair few health issues now - but still wants to go chasing his hard ball up and down the garden every day ❤️ Rescued him at 8 weeks old from a farm in North Wales.

I've been half tempted to sell my house past couple of years, buy farmland, and stick a caravan on it. I can't afford much, but I have a dream to create some kind of off-grid permaculture food forest with renewable power etc.

Wise words, my name is at the bottom of every page - lots of considerations here too.

One of the guys who works for me now does one week a month, the rest of the month is tending to his self sustaining community mortgage farm.

I love it: being off grid is my dream to x

My wife loves the homesteading stuff but my dream like this is narrowboating, never been on one but watched countless hours of narrowboat youtuber's for a few years now. Also another youtuber I watch that some will find strange is a guy called post 10,unlocking culverts, beaver came and such in rural NW USA, helped navigate through the covid era. Billy Moore another youtuber I like passing time watching .

We all love Cruising the Cut, I'm quite the same in terms of being super endeared to it. For me though, I couldn't trust the safety of family heirlooms and such in a boat full-time.
Certain canals ,Llangollen and the high peak canal stunning relaxation also love Martin zero's stuff ,local waterways and James brindley's engineering stuff, a lot local to me . Passes the time.
