Before I knew that oils/gummies were a thing, I was always scratching my head these people you see on the news complaining that they can't afford the thousands of pounds a month it takes to treat their children with medical cannabis etc. But yeah, I can easily see how someone who can't take flower but needs cannabis can easily become bankrupt at these price/potencies.
Where are they possibly justifying the cost? Some gelatine and bud cooked together for about an hour? The main ingredient by volume is in extreme surplus as a waste product from the meat industry. How can that be anything more than a few pence per gummy to produce?
Why wouldn't you make your own edibles with flos at this point.
Sadly the industry is currently in the cash cow phase. After so many medical scandals you think as a society we would start to hold people to account, sadly seems the game is already won. The 3 richest people in the US had more combined wealth than the poorest 50% 5 years back, now it is probably even worse.
Around the same time a poll was done on taxes and although only 3% of US citizens earn over 250,000, a staggering 48% opposed increasing rates on that income, that's a lot of aspirational folks, livihg the dream or buying it?
Moneys prob most childrens first exposure to their first PSYOP. It was mine. I quickly learnt to save my pennies to get stuff. Its also been "funny money" for decades now... Theres been cases in the US where the bank couldn't prove it had that money to loan, so people have won against repo sometimes. I believe its the tip of the iceberg.

Banks should still have to have sufficient gold stocks to cover their liabilities. Then we'd still have cool bank robberies instead of e-fraud and it would be the industry taking the hit and not tech unsavvy older generation losing what they were allowed to keep of their lifelong earnings.
