Hi All,

Wondering if anyone had any advice?

I’ve recently payed for a consultation with a clinic, as I’m trying to start my MC journey.
I’ve had some trouble in proving my eligibility, too add context. I was diagnosed with MS back in 2017, although don’t have much on my medical record linked to my condition since then, as I’ve preferred alternative holistic treatments to assist with symptoms, as I’m against taking the suggested disease modifying medication.
My Two treatments that I should have on my medical record that have been tried previously are, Diazepam, which was first prescribed by my GP when I started to experience symptoms of MS. The clinic I’m looking to register with, are not satisfied this is linked to my MS.
Second treatment being physio, this arranged via referral to the long term conditions team locally. This again is a treatment that apparently can’t be seen on my medical record.
I’ve been advised that the quickest way to rectify this would be to meet with my GP, and ask them to update the notes on my records. Then at this point that will be sufficient evidence to prove my eligibility, however I’m dubious of these claims.
Any help or advice would be appreciated

Welcome @Drewmedicated and I would probably suggest you contact your GP and ask them to update this physio on your record and then if the clinic are not true to their word I would suggest applying elsewhere and CB1 Medical have shown a bit more understanding recently with patients who have applied with similar medical records and Alternaleaf to would be worth a shout but I'd suggest you will be able to get in a clinic and don't be put off if the first one refuses in this case (y)

Welcome @Drewmedicated :)

I got my SCR from finding the gps email address from the NHS website.
Still no joy CB1 Medical should be able to help with your SCR from your GP (y)
CB1 can only get English medical summaries. Wales, Scotland, N Ireland they write to the doctor to obtain, I was proactive and got mine sent to me before applying then i forwarded to cb1.

How did you get on with this? I know it's been a little while, but I wanted to add that I had a similar situation which was resolved by applying with CB1 Medical. A couple of clinics I contacted seemed very unclear on what they actually meant by "two previous treatments." Like you, I have a diagnosis of a chronic condition on my medical record, but have not taken prescription medication (in my case because there is none available). There was a bit of a "computer says no" feel to it. I felt I was being messed about, and I was really unwell at the time. It was not cool.

On the recommendation of other users here, I went with CB1, and they were much, much better - no fuss, no ambiguity about how it worked, just very simple, competent, and professional the whole way. In my case I'd tried a range of things, but had not been prescribed anything, as the GP had nothing they could prescribe. Also (not insignificantly) they only charged £50 for the initial consultation, and no followups. Other clinics seemed to vary wildly in price, as much as over £100 for the initial consultation. Obviously, I pay for the medication, and while it is an outlay, it's worth every penny for the relief I get from it.

Definitely recommend CB1 clinic all the way.
