The backing of more than 400 crowdfunding investors for The People’s Plant not only demonstrates the potential of the company but of the medicinal cannabis sector as a whole, a co-founder of the cultivator has said.
Rebecca Risby-Jones said she was “thrilled” at the response to its fundraising campaign on Birchal.
With only hours to go before the offer closes, 419 investors have pledged almost A$770,000 to the Queensland firm.
Its minimum target was $250,000 with a maximum set at $2m. Shares were on sale for $1.
