Still Deciding
Hi all. Been looking into MC for the first time. Such a minefield of information and my ADHD brain is having issues making sense of it all.

For affordability reasons, I'm looking at CB1 Medical, the annual cost is affordable (£50) and the cost for flower seems more resonable, but not sure how to start.

Initial questions...

- As a current flower user, will this affect me in any way in a consultation?
- What is the average cost of flower? Street is about £10/g, so I limit myself to about 10g/month?
- Is affordability taken into account? I'm UC/ESA and have been signed off work indefiniately, so cost is important.
- Does anyone have any experience with CB1?

The suggestion of MC was made to me by my current key worker as a bypass to AMHT who won't treat anyone using street. Apparently they can't argue with a MC prescription. I've smoked flower for most of my life (started at 12), I'm now 50, and despite a long period of abstination, my MH took a dive and started using again in 2022. I specifically use it to manage Misophonia, Emotional deregulation and depression. My current meds no longer work and the NHS won't do aything about it, so I resort to caffine/flower to self medicate on top.

There is so much information out there that my brain has no idea where to start, so any advice would be most welcome.

Hello to everyone, I look forward to being part of this community.

Hello to everyone, I look forward to being part of this community.
Welcome to the Community @monkehfu. You have picked a good choice for a clinic regarding your health conditions. CB1 will obtain your medical records for you but if you can upload your medical records yourself that would be just a little quicker to get your appointment with them. It doesn't matter that you have been self medicating with Cannabis previously, we all have or the majority of us has, it actually goes in your favour that you have experience using Cannabis, be as honest as you can when you have your Consultation with them. Any other questions you have feel free to ask the community, we will gladly help in anyway we can 👍. You'll be in good hands with CB1 Medical as they are connected to the NHS.

Hello and welcome @monkehfu
Regards MC prices some starts from £5/g and soon some from £4/g so budget options with some decent stuff appearing at these prices too now also unfortunately benefits are not taken into consideration regards MC but there is a scheme that can be applied for called the Grow Access Project scheme that has a few discounts of £5 & £10 on a few products but you would need to apply through your clinic.

A few here have experience with CB1 Medical and my wife is a patient there and most are pleased with their experience I'd say (y)

Hey Monkehfu and welcome to the community! Cb1 is a great choice for your first clinic I just recently joined them myself as a new patient and the service is great. There is a good variety for new users to choose from although stock may be an issue for certain strains at times, just be mindful to hold your ground during the initial video consultation as oils, vapes and edibles will be pushed before they even mention cannabis flower/bud, make sure you state your not interested in alternatives at the moment but I did say I would maybe be open to trying them in the future at some point just to get the doctor to move the subject on to flower. Be totally honest with your current consumption as this is important for the doctor to be able to prescribe the correct amount per month. The cost of flower varies from £5-£10 per G depending on the strain but again stock isn't always great so you may need to choose alternatives at times.

Hello & welcome, i recently moved to CB1 Medical & they are very friendly and easy to talk to. My 1st appointment with the Dr he started talking about a flower strain from the 90’s that we both remembered, so just be yourself and relax 👍

Many thanks for the replies.
I'm hoping to book my consultation with CB1 Medical later this week.
Fingers crossed.
Good stuff and it's hopefully straightforward now and once the application is rolling they'll guide you through any potential barriers but if you need any advice us lot in here are always at hand to help if we can .
