Hello
I’m Rik.
I’m currently self-employed, mainly because working “normally” hasn’t really been doable for me (ADHD stuff). I’ve been self-medicating for quite a while now (around 10–12 years) and I’m trying to move over to doing things properly and legally through a UK clinic.
I’ve been reading this forum for days and I still feel a bit lost on the basics — especially how clinics/pharmacies work and what you actually end up paying month to month. The consultation prices are easy to find, but the medication costs, delivery external fees and whether you’re locked into one pharmacy feels really unclear.
My main questions:

My main questions:
- How do you choose a clinic without ending up stuck with limited medication options?
- Can you use an external pharmacy, and are there extra fees if you do?
- For anyone on low income / receiving PIP or other support — are there any discounts, compassionate schemes, or realistic ways to keep the ongoing costs manageable?
