UK I'm not a doctor or medical professional

Just to be clear, I'm not a doctor or any kind of medical professional and therefore can't give medical advice.

I've been a medical cannabis patient since the law changed in 2018. Since then, I've become a medical cannabis advocate and campaigner. In the process, I began researching the medical uses of cannabis, as well as debunking reefer madness myths.

I post a lot of the studies I research and collate them into a free weekly newsletter. None of what I post should be taken as medical advice. I provide it merely as information and education, to help further the cause of medical cannabis.

That said, I'll try and answer questions if I can, but always with the caveat that I'm not giving medical advice.

If you subscribe to our free weekly newsletter, please forward it to all your friends and family. Let's grow our community together and spread the word. Together, we can end the stigma of cannabis and get it prescribed on the NHS.

Thanks and good luck on your medical cannabis journey.

Just to be clear @Marc Landers are you a patient of U.K. medical cannabis or in the U.S.A. Where I'd assume you were working/based it's just the 2018 law change comment made me think that's when it changed here. Or in my ignorance is that also when it changed in the U.S.A.?

I'm an American living in the UK since 2000. I became a medical cannabis patient here in the UK, as soon as the law changed here in 2018.

Ahh, thanks for clearing that up ,so it seems we are On the same medical access journey ,so it seems you were one of the early patients , I mean it can be hard now for new patients accessing and learning how to deal with issue's ,but I'd imagine in 2018 it would of been a minefield, lousy quality products, expensive. and clinics and medical professionals learning as they go along ,again an assumption but I bet it's not too wide of the mark.

I've never had any quality issues with my medical cannabis. I know a few have but it's hard to quantify the scale the problem might be.

All the doctors and clinics I've dealt with have been top notch. I haven't heard too many complaints in this area.

In some aspects, prices have really come down. My first appointment cost £150, but now it costs £50. I used to have to get quarterly appointments at £50 an appointment. Now, I just have semi annual appointments, costing just £100 a year.

My prescription stayed the same price at £5.50 per gram until recently. But my clinic offered another strain with the same profile, at the old price.

I'm with Curaleaf by the way.

That's smashing pal, that you found a strain early on that works for you and over a long period of time, and as you say about Curaleaf ,that sounds like good patient treatment .
I found the doctors, clinic and pharmacy good too in my experience with Mamedica Access Scheme,
On my first prescription I ordered a Curaleaf product, that i'd used years before to good effect. I was a bit sceptical at first when ordering but then when it arrived and On inspection it was exactly as I remembered it, I still get it regularly and it's probably the one product that has improved my life the most since starting MC. Allowing me too arrive in the afternoon at the right mental level and motivated.
I had it in my head it was all £15/g stuff at the beginning but obviously not .
