Issues logging into my account

Hello, I am having issues logging into my account on the main website (forum account is fine). It says to send you an email if I've been locked out of my account but it does not allow me to do so. I also believe I've sent an email in before about this and not had a response.

The forum side (here) and the main page have 2 different logins, you need to create a seperate account for each...

I am simply presented with a box when I proceed on "Forgotten Password" after entering my username or email address.
I believe I was one of the first ever people to sign up to a MedBud account, maybe this could be why?

I've had a main page account for as long as I can remember, I just don't remember my password because I got a new pc

Like you I cant actually remember my password for the main page so I just leave it logged in at all times, someone will fix it for you dw

Give me a minute as I know this can be sorted out and I'll find out how to go about it

Can replicate the issue here with the forgotten password form, if you use it here: https://medbud.wiki/account/forgotten-password/

It then reloads to a page with a blank box pop-up, however at least for me it did send the email reset request still. I'll try get this fixed shortly.

I'm stuck into housework at the moment, but if it still doesn't work on the link above @Bray I'll manually reset your password in a couple of hours (and try fix the bug in general) - just bare with me briefly.

My account became weird and threw up a wrong password. I only have two i tried both and nein no luck. So i reset the password and pasted the ole one and fixed it. But i was only inactive for a month or so i think and yeah it reset my password.

I think it's actually related to incorrect login attempts, can't remember the value/count off the top of my head before an account is blocked - but our system doesn't currently reset the incorrect login count once successfully logged in.

Effectively, I believe, if over time you organically just mistype a password a few times - your account will end up locked. When using the password reset form it also unlocks the account, but otherwise won't let you login normally and will behave as if the password is incorrect.

I basically believe I just need to change the handling on the system for incorrect login attempts, and then fix up the form bug @Bray pointed out. Hopefully I get around to looking at it properly later today.

@Muiredach I mentioned a few weeks back that my main account gets logged out after only a few hours, but my forum account stays logged in for a month or so. This is still the case and getting rather annoying. Could you look into this too please.

Got locked out again. I never use capital r on login and today again pw incorrect. I just reset it again to the old pw second time this happened. Whats going on?

Big dawgs on it! All i can suggest is the R or r might be causing it? Am i meant to use R and maybe r was allowing me to login but maybe after some attempts would then say no. Firefox focus on ios was used.
