MC a few thoughts as a relative newbie.

So here I am still fairly new to MC just put my 3rd script in and now have some views on this industry.

What I have observed so far is this: there appears to be no consistency over the products, we find a bud that works medically then 2 months later it’s no longer available, then it makes a return a few months later but is in fact a different strength or even quite different terpenes and hit wise to what came before. How is one meant to self-medicate when the products constantly change?

I feel like I am going to spend a lot of money finding the right strains for me, then find they are no longer available.

I follow all on MedBud and make notes of what is likely to work, then I find the ones that allegedly really work become popular and then go out of stock by the time of the next script or are not available at my pharmacy.

Then we have all these YouTube videos making a mockery of the industry, yes there are some good reviewers and some good information, but I can’t help but feel that some YouTube reviewers are treating MC like a sweatshop with little talk of their conditions vs how good a hit the bud is.

Then there is the cost, it’s ridiculous. I have spent a lifetime on top quality hashes but never paid more than £7.50 per gram (okay I’m old and well connected, I usually pay £6 per gram for organic Moroccan).

As I have previously mentioned I have come down this route of MC to remove the illegal paranoia and because it’s becoming increasingly hard to get genuine hashish (most is now made from bud in Holland). The organic Moroccan farmers where most of my hash in the last 20 years has come from have now been taken over by gangsters demanding they now grow different bud for its yield and profit. So, I thought okay let’s go legal and find a hash replacement. I am struggling to find bud as good as my hash, and as good for my conditions as hash, and as cost effective as hash. Man, I wished I could get hash on medical!

For this industry to work long-term we need consistent grows and stock, we can’t be in a position where we have a bud that works for 2 months then it vanishes from stock, compare this to any other medicine and that is crazy.

Okay in one sense its good fun getting a load of different products each month seeing what does what, but from a medical stand point its not on, at all.

I will persevere and hope I find the strains I need, but have little hope of a consistent supply looking at the industry as it is now. I got some hash out last night, beautiful hit mind and body, perfect sleep, yet to find a bud to compete, GMO is the nearest I have had but its £10 a gram! Afterthought, why does medical not give me the munchies

You're forced to pay to trial new batches and find out the hard way it doesn't represent the previous batch before it.

I'm £10,000+ deep into this so far personally.

I struggle with this personally too, of any patient I probably have the biggest 'heads up' on what's coming next, yet I still often find myself caught out on timing. I've just put my script in, something launches, I reorder in a month's time and it's already unavailable.

Or otherwise, I find something effective, want to stock up, then it's already gone.

I would never recommend the dark web publicly, but will state that's where I've had to source hash for years now. I come from the same era/background, and I'd probably have a script for majority hash if it were possible.

My bottom line is we must fight for what is right here, consistency and pricing and to make this a proper professional industry. I will do whatever I can in that fight, as my future depends upon it!

I think your feelings align with the vast majority @Moon, there was no skunk when I first started smoking, only named grass round my way was thai sticks and durban poison everything else was just bush. You'd think nobody at these facilities understood the concept of growing from clones for consistency, but the reality is all of the reputeable facilities are doing this, the fuckery is all being done in the UK for profiteering. After hearing what the hypocrite Karyn Smith said today in response to her own question of 4 years ago you have to resign yourself to the facts, it's all lip service. Until we start holding these people to account we can't rewally complain about them F%&$ing us....

I am half moroccan and am partial to a bit of hash. I have never gotten good hash in england. Ive also just got back from amsterdam and the so called moroccan hash was nothing like the strength and quality of what I get in morocco for a tenth of the price.

Also morocco started exporting cannabis legally since 2023 i think. I dont know where its going but Id love a new strain using the moroccan landrace genetics.

Th old morroccon strains made superb hash but new Hybrids were introduced not realising that they used 10x more water than the old strains which isnt good for a morrocon farmer , Hope they get back to older genetics that adapted to using alot less water

Medically I am finding the closer I get to landrace the better, noticed this with the Kush, the less parentage and nearer to the Afghan landrace the better the effect on me, like OG and Pink. I would love the landrace strains to make a medical comeback, and even better I would like hash as a medical alternative to bud.

Nothing like the berber hospitality. I still find it strange I can go to a new city and a local will invite into his home, meet their family and cook me a delicious meal. A lot of them even ask you to stay.
