Hello all! I've been self medicating with cannabis for some time now after endless prescription meds (mostly dabbing with a puffco peak pro, flower vaping and the occasional vape cart), and I've been looking at moving over to medical. I'm eligible, but am also 18 so don't want to go with any clinics that'll limit THC to under 25's. I understand that concentrates aren't available yet, but also that they're in the works, but I suppose I could substitute that with the Aurora® Vape cartridges? Anyways, I was looking into Alternaleaf due to the low cost of £5 a month, but have also heard mixed reports. I was also looking into the Mamedica® Access scheme due to being on PIP, but they don't seem to stock the Aurora® Carts.

Welcome to the forum @Doe and I think Alternaleaf limit under 25's as we have another member here who had this restriction due to age.

Your quite right with Mamedica and the Aurora® carts as they have not added them so far but they do have the superior Clearleaf® Rosin carts but regards age restrictions and THC I'm not too sure as I know they restrict THC on certain conditions and your best asking them to get clarity.

The best advice is to email or ring the ones you like the look of for whatever reason and query their policy on age and restrictions and take it from there (y)

Welcome to MedBud @Doe

If you have issues with MaMedica, AL, etc. then you might get somewhere with Medicann. They're certainly appearing to the be more lax in terms of patient oversight, they're free aside from medication and delivery as well and they stock the Aurora® carts among the Clearleaf® rosin carts which are just better in every way imaginable.

I'll have a look into Medicann too then!

What makes the Clearleaf® carts superior, mate?

I'm new to all this and still experimenting with carts for gigs and events, so I would really appreciate the advice.

Obviously all my experience is BM, but typically rosin and hash rosin is a closer extract to the flower than resin, and tastes much nicer.

I may have misunderstood then to be honest.

I thought they were saying the Clearleaf® were superior to the Aurora® (which I currently use).
They probably are saying the Clearleaf® Rosin Carts are superior to the Aurora® ones but bare in mind Clearleaf® do distillate carts also which I would say are inferior to the Aurora® carts .
There is no doubt in my mind the Rosin carts are the superior product but also cost that little extra but the process needed to make Rosin is more intensive and costly (y)

@GrownHealth hit the nail on the head for me.

Rosin > Resin if I have the choice.

The Sourdough cart is nice, but the EHD really lets them down. The Clearleaf® rosin carts, specifically the GMO one is beautiful. Probably the best tasting anything I've had on medical.

I didn't realise they made distillate so fuck those off.

My Clearleaf® Black Cherry Punch cart is distillate and at the time for £6 extra I could of got a Rosin cart and boy what a difference and error on my part.

The potential a Black Cherry Punch distillate cart has is insane though so I can see why you were drawn to it.

Plus BCP in general is a favourite of yours anyway isn't it!

How much were they?

You live and learn mate, you live and learn!

£51 for the distillate and £57 for the rosin when IPS had them on near expiry for a couple of days and your spot on with the reasoning behind me trying the BCP but would prefer the bud of it if truth be told as it more flavoursome 🤷‍♂️
It very much was a learning thing and I can't complain with the prices and the Platinum Slurricane tastes better with every use

The platinum Slurricane is wonderful isn't it! Such a morish flavour.

I have one somewhere, may have to dig it out now now I'm drooling over it

I'm at mine now with some Supreme Diesel on standby:cool:

Probably means an early night is in the midst for me:ROFLMAO:
Youre nursing that SD well! did you say earlier you've ordered more?

I wish it would come back into Medicann.

I've kept 2g aside for Christmas lol.

Decided I'm going to make an advent calendar with 1g samples I've kept instead of chocolate. 1g bowl for the 24 days of December 😂.

I've got a bag hid:sneaky: and I've ordered 30g of Blod Nosda French Macaron as its down to £3/g as an offer from Cannabis Clinic Cardiff so with that 30g's Crimbo seems so much easier and if it goes down well I'll get more 😁proper skinflint here:ROFLMAO:
