Hello from County Durham, long time smoker but new medical recipient. I was medically discharged from the army many years ago now and always self medicated since but decided now is the time to go medical. I use it for pain relief and sleeping. I have been accepted for 60gpm and have 6 strains on the way. Any info on them would be greatly appreciated and any recommendations are gladly received. The strains are

Welcome to the forum and to life with medical cannabis, I'm sure you'll enjoy it, and yes, it is disgusting and despicable that we take people who put their live on the line for their country, and when the inevitable consequences hit, we criminalise them for seeking the one thing that helps without turning them into a zombie.

I've got my first consultation with Mamedica® shortly, so I'm really glad to see you've got 6 different strains on the way in your first months because that kind of lack of restrictions is precisely the reason I'm switching to them!

Looks like good choice, I will also be partial to trying Wedding Cake and Farm Gas.

You haven't got any Sativa dominants in your prescription though - is that a conscious decision?

Welcome @Ymmis and you've probably got a pretty good selection there to judge from as in the different price ranges and difference in product and they look alright to get you started and although I didn't find the Zookies up to much it was a year ago so may be much better now where as the others are pretty well liked by members here and used regularly for pain relief and sleeping .

Welcome to the forum @Yimmis you have some good strains there for what you have described regarding your health conditions. I'm in the Same boat, lots of pain and just toss and turn all night without meds, that's quite gruelling next morning. Personally I've only had the Goldberry and it does help with my conditions. I tend to start low during the day (THC) and use my higher THC for evenings, sometimes I have to swap things around depending on my day, I find having a variety of strains helps too

You haven't got any Sativa dominants in your prescription though - is that a conscious decision?

Some Sativas absolutely ruin my mind so I try to avoid them and the doctor I had my consultation with agreed it is probably best to avoid them for now. I do have other med problems with my heart so the board would only approve my prescription if I added some CBD into it so went for a 10mg THC and 10mg CBD tincture which I have to use daily. Overall I'm surprised how quick everything has happened, I only filled the form in on the mamedica site 3 weeks ago.

Yeah that is a bit of a worry with them all being high THC. I will see how this next month goes but I think I will be asking for some not as high for during the day

Indica Hybrid are probably best for you, I can get a racing heart and thoughts from Sativa's sometimes. I have Vascular issues and find the c25/c25 works well mate. They always start you low on the oils. They tried with me but I knew 10/10 would not cut it, if you feel your not benefiting try to go for the 20/20 or 25/25 you'll probably feel more benefit.

When I left they were just changing the system but last I remember I got a notification the afternoon before it was delivered saying it was dispatched but I was definitely was notified the day before it arrived

just same The email the day before has the royal mail link and tracking number so checking the times it lands at local po next morning but always had it before 1pm same postie
