Options to search / filter for a clinic by speciality (e.g. Pain)

I was not aware different clinics had different specialities, though I did know the head doc at CB1 Medical is a pain specialist.

My understanding (could be wrong)

I believe they have different specialists / specialties, and therefore can prescribe for more / fewer / only certain conditions accordingly

Depends which type of Dr's each clinic has (which ones they want to hire) I think. E.g. need a consultant psychiatrist if they want to prescribe for ADHD / anxiety / depression / etc, or need a consultant neurologist for epilepsy / parkinsons / etc

All the patients might not need to see the consultant (can have appointments with a clinician who isn't a consultant) but the consultant with the relevant specialism to the patients condition would sign-off at important stages

Yeah so, based on my understanding, it's because they only have the one consultant (or more than one but with the same specialism)


Which I guess is the point of your request here to help make that clear to people:

Clinic A - covers your condition(s) and is a viable option to join / switch to
Clinic B - doesn't cover them, so a waste of time contacting them

It's symptoms they usually treat as a Patient might have R.A. and be qualified as a pain patient treating pain and not the R.A. itself at say CB1 Medical .the same patient could be treated at my clinic with the same Disease but for Mental Health symptoms so often its not the condition itself.

I hear ya, just trying to make it easier to use the wiki - esp for new peeps, as there is a lot to learn, esp people with no prior use.

I just realised when I was thinking about applying to CB1 Medical in the past I wouldn't of qualified anyway .lol.
