Hi, I've recently sold my pax3 to a mate and he's having issues downloading the app for it. I had the app on my S20fe and upgraded to the S21fe and was able to download the app no problem with each phone. He has a latest phone which is also his business phone, he's tried everything to download the app but the app will not upload at all. Does anyone think if he gets an older phone the app will upload?

I'd try bypassing the Play Store and downloading/installing the APK directly (latest version.) To do that he'll need to enable unknown app sources in his settings:

For New Android Versions (Oreo, Pie, Android 10, 11 and 12)
  1. Go to your Android Settings > Apps & Notifications
  2. Select Advanced or the three dots at the top-right corner – users might see either option depending on their device
  3. Select Special App Access
  4. Choose Install Unknown Apps
  5. Select the apps you want to allow to sideload apk files
If that doesn't work, then the app probably isn't compatible with his version of Android - he should be informed during installation.

Thanks, I've shared the information with him, he doesn't want to put apk on his business phone but sure he has an older phone knocking about. I've also put him in the direction of Medical Cannabis. Not seen each other for years and he's a Veteran so can get his prescriptions cheaper with the right Clinic.

Fair, do you happen to know if he can find the app on the Play Store and try to install through it? If so, what message back does he receive?

If he can't see it - there's a chance whatever Google account is on his phone doesn't have full Play Store access by default, or is region-locked somewhere the Pax app isn't listed. If a second personal Google account is added based in the UK, he would then be able to swap users on the Play Store, and see/install the app if he currently can't.

He can actually get his clinic care completely free if he signs up for CB1 Medical 🙌

He'll just have to pay for meds, but can also join Grow Access Project for cheaper dispensing of some meds via IPS.

I've tried on my Android which I had the app on in the firstbplace after deleting it and I can still download the app from playstore 100% on this Android. He definitely needs a different phone, ideally because he shouldn't download the apk app on his business phone as its not ideal as in security. You learn something new every day. Thought I'd let him down him not being to pair with his phone lol

Makes sense, hopefully he manages to get it sorted instead on his older phone 🤞 The APK is just a mirror of the Play Store version though, from about the most reputable site there is.

*UPDATE* so did some digging and the Connect Browser app is a webBLE enabled browser so I searched for an alternative and have downloaded Bluefy from the App Store and I have been able to connect to the pax app on the pax website via the Bluefy app 😁

Happy days 😂 I will pass the information on to my pax3 friends 🧡

Just a note on this, I just bought a pax plus and the app will not download for my android, it's not the phone it's the android version, basically the app is from 2022 and should work with android 12 and below, android 13 came out in summer 2022 so not sure on that, later versions like my android 14 no chance. Its bad that pax have not updated the app.

Try, Blufy, it may work if not look on the forbidden Fruitz website they may have a fix there.

Ahh, Pax support just emailed me back, turns out my pax plus has no bluetooth! It just has the 4 experience modes.
