Fair play was surprised today to get good news I have been approved for my prescription which I've received and saved it and I'll print a copy up for in the car.
The Doc mentioned my next appointment could be moved forward if I needed, lol 30g won't be enough, as advised here I'll ask for more but probably only need 40g and the extra comes in handy at birthday and Christmas, what do you want for birthday or Christmas.? Cash, so I can buy 10g of fire 🤣

Specialists often like to hand-hold through the first month or two to check for any side-effects or for general feedback on how you're getting along. My advice would be to be as open and transparent as possible on the amount you use - what can cause your usage to increase or decrease etc.

My doctor is quite understanding that my usage fluctuates between about 80-120g a month depending on how effective I find my particular meds that month.

Around the Christmas period, because many clinics/pharmacies have closures, clinicians often recommend covering yourself for a slightly longer period. For example if you were putting in a repeat middle of November, they may want to cover you until a week into January.

The Dr also agreed it best when we spoke to have flexibility on your script. An extra 10g of flexibility is one of the reasons why on my next yearly appointment to raise mine to 60g. What we really need is a big patient intro pdf where this info is shared. Our recommended devices etc and other tips. I recommend not paying by bank account and instead a 0% APR Mastercard for Section 75 Chargeback protection on faulty goods. Even if the clinic will not do a refund the credit card is jointly liable and would give you extra rights.
