Having made a post yesterday regarding the seizure of my medication by the police, I'd just like to provide an update (and result)
Alongside my own enquiries with the police, I made contact with CannCare to ask for their assistance in the matter. I have previously used their services concerning a discrimination matter, and was instantly met with full support by way of advocacy in this instance.
Contact was made by Canncare to my local force, having received an update by email to myself this morning, stating the new revised date my medication could be released was to be 3rd July.
I'll be honest I was prepared for a one man protest but I was advised -and rightly so- to leave it with Canncare.
Not even an hour later, I was given direction to attend the police station to collect my medication, as authorised and released by the acting Sargent.
Picture is of both packs which where seized and held, and their contents tipped (and mixed) into a random grey bag, along with the bodevas.
If anyone has any issues concerning public bodies, police forces, landlords etc, I highly recommend CannCare for advocacy in upholding your rights.
