The patient #YouTuber who's published the most legal cannabis reviews so far is Smacksalad.
Recently he's been heading to local stores and sites to enforce his rights as a patient to medicate as required.

We don't condone or recommend such action (you could be arrested), but it is glorious to watch police being properly educated on patient's legal rights. Smacksalad takes the risk that if he were to be arrested, he has further legal recourse.

What's continually worrying is the amount of misguidance supposedly provided by @Cancard_UK, who may have caused police confusion on legality for years to come by allegedly trying to convince various forces that private business cards are legally admissible (they're not whatsoever.) No police force can legally accept any random card scheme's claim at face value, and have to default to looking at dispensing labels or prescription copies as stated in @DHSCgovuk guidance.

While police continue to learn guidance on legal cannabis, we have to repeat something officers often state themselves:

"Ignorance is no excuse for breaking the law.

"This includes police forces and venues across the country.

I will be doing my legal research as much as i can in case of such situations. Do the clinics advise you on certain such incidents??
Most have guidance but it's the law Smacksalad is following as some clinics guidance can sound restrictive where as the law is clearer as we have rights to medicate like with any other medication obviously following societal norms regards near kids etc

Not smoking, vaping or taking any meds around kids is just pure dumbness. For kids have brains of a sponge and know no better. Thats common decency.

Still when needs must and your obeying the law whos to stop you.

Good on him for spreading the word.

I see this is a sensitive subject to the average person/law enforcement, but nothing down for discrimination on any level

I watched it live and twice since

Getting the coppers to go and tell the station management to get stuffed whilst he has a bong rip

Nothing but admiration

Well I was inspired

Was at the library printing my latest prescription and some copies of the guidance sheets related to CPBMs and UK law and using medicine in public places

And I thought what better public place to start

Spent 20 minutes building my nerve and then asked for the duty manager

They came down, I asked if they were aware of the law on medical cannabis and that people may possess and use cannabis legally in public places using a nebuliser (either themselves or as a member of the library staff) and they said no.

So I had a 10 min talk with them, explained that there was no problem today but I was hoping to avoid harassment for myself or someone else in future, gave them a copy of the guidance sheets, and they said they would definitely read and share with the management team

Be hard to know what comes of it or if it helps but I've now escaped to a quiet bar that does table service so I can stim and jitter and be exhausted.

At least now your library knows. Still every little be helps promote the law that helps us all out in the bigger picture. Well done mate

That's what Im thinking

Going to keep printing copies in future, and either leaving them places (dentist? Etc?) or having conversations like this

If we can educate people in a calm proactive and non confrontational way like Smacksalad hopefully it reduces the chances of discrimination and harassment.

I like his way tbf. Brazen and upfront. Causing a scene sometimes gets the best results. Look at protests. Causing a scene to be heard.

All comes down to who and what place your getting your information across to i suppose. But both effective in there own ways

That was the beauty of it, he caused a scene but to me in a non-confrontational way because he stuck to the facts, was civil and clear but got the message across

Well done mate as I know that would of took a lot of courage and it looks like you got a sensible talk with them as reward and I know I would be nervously exhausted after such a thing so you get yourself medicated pal and gather your strength. 💚

Yeah happy it was mellow, since I said I had it on me basically. Cheers, I'm terrified of getting harassed especially by the police, so thinking of stuff like this as a preventative measure.

Personally I'd go vape outside whenever possible anyway, but tomorrow I have a 4hr train so I'm thinking it's inevitable I'm going to need a quick top-up at some point on the train itself
