Hello Everyone,

I struggled to find any real review info for the Thermal Twist, so I thought I would write one now that I've had a few weeks with it.

Before I start, big up RVS, My birthday is August 25th, this year it was the Bank Holiday. I received my TT on the Friday and opened it early because I'm an impatient toddler, in doing so I noticed my bowl had broken. At some stage on Friday afternoon they sent out another which arrived Saturday morning. We all know about Matt's fantastic reputation and it stands to be true yet again.

The Injector vape scene is something I'm relatively new to but I have now had the chance to compare it next to a Ruby Twist for a few days so I feel like I can give a little bit of insight here.

I'm in the minority of preferring Stainless Steel over Titanium. I find Titanium to irritate my throat a little more. I was gifted the SS Thermal Twist and I think it came in around the £130 mark from Recommended Vape Supplies. The relative purchasing this for me wasn't able to stretch to the Ruby Twist and I didn't want to offend them by trying to make it up. Between us, I had half planned to return it and make the difference up on the sly but I was compelled to see if the Thermal Twist is anything to write home about first.

It works like every ball vape on the market, you have your PID and then your wired Thermal Twist head that you drop onto either the Micro Diffuser Bowl or standard injector bowl. The heat up time is roughly 3-4 minutes including a good minute to heat soak. You do need to run this higher than your Ball Vape as the lack of balls means there's less surface area to heat up the air and thus the PID references the heat coming from the element rather than the air passing through it. As a result I often found myself running this between 305c on the low end and 380c on the higher end. Sometimes 400c. - If you're coming from a ball vape this probably seems a little mental.

To me, there is 0 difference in the effects from the Thermal to the Ruby, they are incredibly similar in that regard which does make me think the Thermal Twist gets overlooked because its not as fashionable without the balls. Maybe the Ruby does have better extraction but it's so negligible in my view.

The biggest differences between them for me were around the harshness of the vapour and the instant vapour production. In both instances the Thermal Twist is a less desirable experience. It's not a reason to avoid the thermal twist but when they're side by side it is very obvious how much smoother the Ruby is. The Ruby also milks the chamber far faster, the Thermal needs a second or two to get going and you have to start a little bit slower on the draw speed.

Here's the thing though, you'll only notice these as being negatives if you're comparing them. If you're just trying to get medicated and you like to get blasted then the Thermal Twist is a serious player here.

I've been fortunate enough to borrow the Ruby Twist, but one of the things that had drawn me into the Thermal Twist is that you can change out the heads with the Ruby Twist fairly easily. for around £190 you can have both the Ruby and Thermal twist. It meant I can upgrade if I want to for a fraction of the cost.

Anyway, Back to the thermal twist. I can clear a bowl in 3 lung falls on around 340c, it drops to 2 to clear at around 370c. When you switch it up to the Micro dosing bowl (sold separately) you'll start to combust above 340c. A microdose bowl with around 0.10g slaps me harder than my Tiny Might 2 with a T.Bowl using around 0.30g.

I WFH and I did start using this during the day, I learned very quickly that is a bad idea. Even flower that I previously thought was ineffective (like Grow/ IPS Blunicorn 22%) was sending me to space. So the Thermal is strictly a post-5PM device now. I use the previously mentioned TM2/T.Bowl combo throughout the day instead. So just be warned, if you need to get anything done then you may want to super micro dose.

I'll try and come back to this with some videos but I won't lie, I've been on the Electric Honeydew this afternoon and I'm a bit all over the gaff so I may forget to this.

So here's my closing statement on the Thermal Twist - If you want to try out the Injector scene and you haven't got the biggest budget then I think the Thermal Twist could be the ideal option for you. I can't believe how cheap it is for how effective it is. If the community wasn't emptying it's balls over balls then I genuinely believe this would receive a lot more love.

No negatives from me.

Great information mate and I'm sure it'll help many understand the difference in these beasts and I'm like you as in I can't really fire it up during the day but going into the evening is just fine . Strangely you opened your birthday present early and on my birthday when my present didn't turn up😂🤣 At least one of us was pleased😁
