Site Updates Storage Labels

General updates on development of the MedBud platform as a whole.
From MedBud.wiki X account
Many patients decant their prescribed #MedicalCannabis into different storage containers.
Would it be helpful to other patients to have automatic label generation/download on the site for flower medications – compatible with all cheap label printers?
Clinic/pharmacy selectable?

76x38 mm is what it says in the last tweet so I imagine that is the final size . (y)
I cant find that size on an a4 sheet for a normal printer, that size is for a label only printer as used in pharmacies etc, not much good for home use. For home a A4 sheet of 21 lables the size would need to be 63.5 x 38.1

OK this is excellent. Maybe rather than sticky labels I think easier to use paper inside if clear or attached with blutak or so. This prevents sticky glass issue - which drives me mad(er!) or I'm overthinking this lol

⚠️Warning on Repackaging Medication

Medication is ordinarily stored in original packaging. Removing medication from its original packaging and storing in another container/vessel is not against the law; however it will always lead to further suspicion and/or scrutiny from the police or authorities.

We accept no liability for any issues that occur as a result of removing your medication from its original packaging. These labels are provided to ensure some means of identifying repackaged medication, but we do not actively encourage the practice.

  • Do not use outside your residence.
  • Store original packaging alongside repackaged meds.
  • Store prescription/invoice copies by repackaged meds.
  • Consider a visible notice explaining law/patient status.
A case was recently highlighted by Integro Clinics where a patient had their medication temporarily seized by the police, but only medication kept in its original packaging was returned.

1 thing I did notice about the repackaging labels (this was way back a few months ago) is that they seemed to be available for anyone to use (without logging in or being a patient) so I did think that might be something that might be of interest at some point... in other words your potentially providing non-patients with repackaging labels for MC (not intentionally) doesn't really change much if the person meets the law as they won't have a prescription to back it up

*** To be clear, the below is just a draft mock-up, my own work - the Repackaging Labels available on MedbudWiki have NOT BEEN CHANGED ***

So I got my lawyer on & had a bit of a play with the repackaging labels:

- Slightly re-worded to have more bite
- Added space for patient name and Rx ref no
- Referenced the Misuse of Drugs 2018 Amendment, and recently published (waaay overdue) NPCC /APCDLO Guidance
- Added a QR code pointing to the above document
- Sized for 10 x 5 labels to fit 115mm x 18mm pop-top stash tubes

What do people think of only making the repack labels available to verified MedBud patients so as to enhance and protect their legitimacy?

I'm interested to hear any feedback or comments?

This is amazing work @It's Just a Herb, it's actually a feature we really want to expand in the future. Right now, the way it's written into medication pages, only one sized label can be generated per listing (so we defaulted to the common dispensing label size, which can rescale in a 2:1 aspect ratio).

Eventually, after MedBud 2.0 launches with our new UI, it would be great to build upon the feature further and add all kinds of custom label sizes. It would also be good to have prescriber/dispensary details auto-populated from accounts, or selectable before download.

The one major thing we're up against on adding more text to the current labels is simply resolution of thermal printers – any smaller text or elements, even the QR, and it can become either difficult to scan or read. If you have a decent thermal printer with 600dpi+, it's not so much of an issue.
