I didn't choose this strain, the doctor prescribed it for me on my first script.
It arrived so dry the buds were rock hard. I put it in a jar with some Boveda but after three weeks and barely any difference I took the old-fashioned route and stuck some satsuma peel in there. Well that did the trick. Buds came back to life but the terpenes didn’t so much.
Aroma: No trace of berries or cream to start with. It had a sharp disinfectant sort of smell which wasn’t very appealing. After rehydrating, a creamy biscuit/wafer scent with a sour undertone did emerge.
Appearance: Small tight little pointy buds with a bit of stalk. Lots of trichs but almost entirely headless. However, they must just have been very dried out because once I got some moisture back into the buds the little sparkly heads magically started to appear.
Grind: Produced loads of kief because it was so dry.
Vape: Ouch, it was harsh straight out of the bag. Nasty sensation of burning bitterness on the throat. It did improve once it was a bit more moisturised though.
Taste: Dettol. Slight hint of cough medicine aftertaste. Not very nice.
Effects: Pretty decent. It’s all in the head with very little body effect, so it’s great for getting chores done. Very little impairment in performing everyday tasks other than slightly bleary eyes. Reasonably pokey for 21% and long lasting too. Very uplifting and mood-enhancing.
For me it comes into its own for microdosing during the day, allowing me to take the edge off my stress and anxiety without a full-on stoned feeling. I now carry it around with me as it’s ideal for when I need a quick and non-debilitating puff, but I wouldn’t choose to sit down with it for an evening session.
Verdict: A cheerful, chilled-out stress-reliever, good for being out and about where you want to be functional, or for helping household chores go with a swing. Shame about the taste and aroma, but never mind, it does the job.
