Is anyone adjusting their schedule with repeat requests?

Mine is technically next due October 3rd, ordinarily I’d feel comfortable not putting that in until the 1st, but I think I’m going to be a bit more cautious and put it in the Friday before this time?

I presume they just don’t process it until your due date?
I cocked up last time and didn’t book my review early enough and ended up ten days late, and without meds 😔

I base the timing of scripts on which pharmacies I intend to use, if I'm using Specials Pharma or IPS, I'm comfortable having a script written about 3-4 days before I'll run out - but if I'm using Mamedica® I'll try give it a whole two weeks as they often take a week to react to external scripts (not a patient there.)

This month using 4 pharmacies, Montu were actually quickest sending out the day after then script was send by my doc - Specials then the next day.

My doctor/clinic actually recommends putting in all repeats two weeks ahead by default.

They will immediately process when received, the way to get around this is to ask for a 'post-dated script' dated for the 3rd - meaning they can't legally dispense until the date on the script. That said, the script is valid for 4 weeks after written, and you can just wait to pay your invoice.

Bare in mind most pharmacies don't know what your prescription cycle is, as they have no access to your clinic records. It's a bit different with Alternaleaf and Montu as they share premises.

For Mamedica, do you know if the 10 days prior is working days (full 2 weeks) or days?

I tend to put mine in with Mamedica at the earliest point which is say for instance, if you receive your meds on 1st Sept. Your due your next ones on the 29th Sept. I would put mine in about 17th or 18th because they will postdate it for you so that you receive it On the 29th.Apparently they can only physically write and postdate it 10days before it's due, when submitting it it'll take a day of so to reach the clinician so falls in with the earliest time to submit it.
Hope this helps.
Seems I jumped the gun this month lol,had to resubmit it a week later. I put it in 3 weeks before due date.
