Oh, so an entire body set up to monitor illicit cannabis, who gets funnelled millions in government money for the privilege of doing so, and feeds the careers and egos of many layers of pen-pushing admirals of a failed drug war... DON'T want the only thing their grift depends on being illegal to be made legal?

You don't say.

And their reason is that it would "would go against the country’s legal obligations under the UN Single Convention." Oh no, Australia, you don't want to be known as a trouble maker in the UN and be labelled some rebel state... like the US, Canada, Germany, The Netherlands, and an increasing number of other highly developed western nations who have somehow all managed to legalise cannabis without facing the wrath of the international criminal court in... the Hague, Netherlands :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:.

I was interviewed at the ICC 20 years ago - long story but they prefer cover ups to honesty... says it all really.
