The clinic provides mental health assessments for people interested in a trial of a Cannabis-Based Medicinal Product (CBMP).

Cannabis Clinic Cardiff (CCC) is a patient-centred, clinician-led Private Medical Clinic.

Patients can self-refer to the clinic for a FREE eligibility assessment. An initial appointment with a Specialist Consultant will follow, assessing symptoms and medical history to determine your suitability for having a trial of a CBMP.

There is no guarantee that an initial appointment will result in a prescription of a CBMP and any prescribed product will be determined as appropriate following discussion with the prescriber.

At present, CBMPs can only be prescribed for a limited range of conditions and for patients who meet minimum eligibility criteria.

I just wanted to share a little more about some more recent interactions with Cannabis Clinic Cardiff.

In speaking with them by biggest concern is paying £250, being accepted and them not being able to match Medicann's allowance so I end up withdrawing and losing the cash. Really I need 120g even though I may only use 90g most months.

To try and help around this, the CCC team are going to speak with Dr. Howells on Tuesday to look at my application and see whether or not he would prescribe me that amount before we have my initial appointments.

The aftercare @NuggetofGreen mentioned really is obvious from the outset of talking with them.

For reference, I dropped my current clinic an email today asking about stock levels and when/if they'll add some new bits. I was told bluntly that there's 170 'options' and that should be enough.

You can see in that example alone what you're paying for with CCC.

I'm hoping to be part of the club sooner than I thought, they seem able to help with my travel issues so it all seems smooth sailing if the doc approves the allowance.

I have my appt on Friday but provisionally the doctor has looked at my application and is happy to meet my needs so I'm taking that as a good sign.

Do you have your month allowance to be spent on what you like within the month? A bit like Medicann? Or is it more traditional where you make your picks at the start of the month?

Gonna need one of you pretty faces for giving me the lowdown on your methods for putting scripts together from different pharmacies.

You can order as you please and multi times during the month which some prefer and some don't .

If you want your request going to a certain pharmacy the option is there to do so on the portal and it contains multiple pharmacies and you can opt for a preferred one for a particular product or all of your request as you please but I suppose what you need to know is there is no pressure to order on Friday or if you do than you can still order again as you wish through the month and often when offers pop up

If you just pick the product from the main formulary on the portal it is usually sent to where the product is cheapest to be dispensed from of the main pharmacies and I recently found out your limits reset at the start of the month Obviously if you know the prices are cheapest at say Botanical Health Dispensary for a product you can stipulate your request go there as I have done recently since we have recently become aware of their prices .

Once you are on the portal all will become clear and I'll happily go through stuff as and when needed mate as I'm sure other CCC patients will .
For some reason I can't take screenshots on my portal or I'd guide you through it now but I know once you have a look about it it will become easier for me or someone else to explain and guide you through.

There is also a discount board that is kept up to date with available discounts and where you can get them

Yeah you're bang on to be honest! - Hopefully as the years progress the industry gets a bit more inline with regulations and we see restrictions become a thing of the past.

That said, I've droppd £250 for the privilidge so I shall be basking on all this new found glory until the cows come home.

Yeah, I have oil and cart allowances on top of flower but often don't use those allowances or even all my flower always, just get what I need each month.

I think a 5g hash limit would be fine for me if that's the pack size going around and I most likely wouldn't get it every month anyway.

Limits are tailored for each patient

It is a whopping chunka still, and it wasn't easy to get together, but I've been with Cannabis Clinic Cardiff over a year now and easily say it was worth it

Yeah, you'll pay £250, then following that you pay £33pm.

Limits are tailored, they have high usage patients (I'm on 100g, 1x edibles, 1x cart per month). He was happy to go higher but I'm trying to come down. The only catch with being a high usage patient (above 70g) is you won't be moved to annual reviews, it'll remain quarterly.

Also worth noting Hash, Concentrates and suppositories will have their own allowance once Dr Dave has figured that bit out.

got bit in the ass with a little bad luck. Sonic Lemon Fuel went OOS with Botanical before my script got there so we've had to substitute it. What's the turnaround for this sort of things?

Little disapointed with Montu so far as well, they've had my script since yesterday morning but I'm yet to have my medication added to the portal. I guess some things never change with those fuckers lol.

The u key on my keyboard gave up before so I've plugged a usb keyboard in just for when I need a u and I've been bobbing up and down like pigeon writing this post as the other keyboard is on the floor

okay great! I forwarded them the exchange and botanical emailed them as well so they'll have the substitute. That doesn't sound to bad to be honest! .
