i think this is a way of bypassing tarrifs. which for me doesnt translate to the £70 increase between australia and here
Customs Duties: The A-UKFTA eliminates tariffs on 99% of qualifying Australian goods. To qualify, the product must meet strict Rules of Origin (e.g., at least 40% of the value must be added in Australia or the UK).
Goods imported into the UK from Canada or Australia are generally subject to a standard Import VAT rate of \(20\%\). However, if you are importing qualifying medical cannabis that is prescribed by a medical professional and dispensed to an individual patient for personal use, it qualifies for a zero-rate VAT status
interesting stuff. i worked in export for a few years. good to know that these vat and import duties bandied about as extra costs are indeed false and even if they did pay on landing its claimable back due to free trade agreements. we are being proper fisted

Refrigerated (cool chain) air freight typically costs £3.50 to £12.00+ per kilogram from the UK, depending on the route, seasonal demand, and required temperature range
Refrigerated (cold-chain) air freight from Australia to the UK typically costs between $6.00 and $12.00 AUD per kg (£3.00 to £6.00). This wide range accounts for base air freight rates, the required premium for temperature control, and the weight of specialized active/passive cooling containers
i will spend a few soliid days on this and will break it down
not 500 x £70

Air freight is not how you want to be transporting things at present. Quotes are given on a day to day basis and there is no forward pricing.
Kerosene is king. All these figures are very interesting tho. Its helpful to break things down to people not involved in logistics.

however thats what would be used 100 percent. even if it was 10x the cost its 60 quid for the entire kg. 100x the cost? 600 divided by 500 units. sea cheaaper again by some margin
how have they brought the product to austrlia for £90 for 2g? when they earn more per head?
urrrgh
shame i dont have access to the TNT account at work anymore i could of got a quote lol

IMO we are subsiding the launch in australia via GROW

The freight fees are just a pain in the arse at the moment. I have a friend who works in PC hardware and having things shipped airfreight is no longer viable.
Have to wait 3 months on it arriving by boat like you say. Almost 40% jump last month alone in air fees.
If whoever is importing this is struggling to make profit on these margins as is claimed I do have some serious reservations.

in comparison to previous air prices they will still be cheap in comparison and below that figure
i guess we are subsidising the australian launch. 900000 patients in australia, maybe launching cheaper as a hero product/loss leader (yes there is already a exctract market)to gain a footing in a much larger market and we pay for that here where they recoup costs by the margin of £60-70 per unit

Shipping a 2kg refrigerated or temperature-sensitive parcel from Australia to the UK usually requires specialized dry ice or gel pack air freight to prevent spoiling. Expect to pay between £70 and £150+ depending on whether you use express delivery or economy air.
its my birthday week coming. i think im gonna put my money on nomad as someone had to hide it up their ass to get it here so deserve the money bahahaha!
It is a little expensive, the Hash prices are more bearable but it will be interesting to see how much this compares to flower as a prescription, 3 10g doses of flower, 2? I've not seen anyone mention how it will effect the amount of flower in a month you can have if you order this.
If you go on straight cannabinoids, then at 70% for 2g, you're looking at the equivalent of 14% THC on 10g flower, realistically this should take up about 5g of flower from allowances (95% of flower is under 30% THC) - but I don't expect clinics will treat it this way.

I get what your saying. In canada 1g rosin=4g flower so not far off but dunno if % took on board , if comparing it to 14% flower then id say it would take more than 10g to wash and press n diamond up to 70% n terpenes maybe even 30g , flower rosin 14% 10g maybe 1-1.5g at 45%-50% THC but dark and no comparison.
14% THC x 3 £50 a pot thats my view , a 30%er could be half that say £80 a pot so £120 so in comparison the 14% would be dearer.
I am going to go for this instead of hash. I think the absorption
better . Defo expensive but flower game here i am getting sick of so gonna see where this takes me.

I dont mind paying for some branded rosin, tbf i get sick of squishing my own all the time and i like to enjoy other peoples work also, usually i pay 180 for 2g jar of Prizm Extracts so if this rosin works out just as nice at 160 i will be saving £20 a pop then squish my own for inbetween medical drops.

I can Squish if I want to, if i bought this, it would last a long time with me and it keeps in the Fridge/freezer which is a bonus. I only use extracts when I need an extra umph before bed mainly, Rosin, it also helps clear my chest and having emphysema it really helps, like the Carts do. I’ve had a Sourdough cart since last year, not much left of it now but that's been great when needed for clearing my chest, my oxygen levels hit 100% after it for some time.
