Flower Curaleaf® T20 Lavender Cake

PXL_20250223_015811541.jpg

My latest delivery of Lavender Kush from Curaleaf. I noticed there's no image of this strain on the strain tracker so feel free to include this image on there admins. I've also attached the patient leaflet because that's also not on the database.

I do like this flower. Not highly sedative at 20%, but does have a more relaxing effect than my daytime SSH. I find it more introspective, especially in the last half hour before sleep, and quite creative on it at well. Name is almost perfect for its taste - I'd probably have called it blueberry muffin or something like that, definitely has a hint of berry, but primarily gives an overall impression of baked goods. Sometimes that's perfect, sometimes it's almost a little sickly/overly flowerly depending on how I'm feeling. I think I generally prefer a fresher piney/eucalyptusy/citrusy/earthy/natural taste cannabis in general.

I'd give it 4/5. I think I'll definitely explore other night-time strains if I get much choice in upcoming months. Perhaps something a bit stronger and a bit more neutral in taste.

I was surprised with the Lavender Cake, it's a very subtle and relaxing Kush high. All of the bud I received is too dry, probably a month old and needing some boveda-love, but out of them all, the LC retained a nice scent and is pleasant to consume from the get-go.

Is dry necessarily a bad thing? When I was a BM user I was always suspicious of overly damp weed because then you're getting more moisture than flower per g purchased.

At least with dry flower you know you're not getting ripped off in that way, and you can always rehydrate as you say with Boveda love. As long as drying out doesn't mean removing the THC content, which, surely it can't be - surely they're held to a standard so 20% must be pretty close to 20%, even if it is dry.

I just worry that if enough people complain about dry flower, we'll just end up with wet soggy heavy flower!

I put in a 62% boveda pack in myself, the Lavender Cake is dry. Apart from being dry it is a decent flower for the medicinal effects for a T20. I like it.

I'm on this bandwagon. If it comes dry you get more.

My trick is putting a fresh satsuma peel in the bag / jar for 24hrs and a boveda thereafter.

Makes a world of difference very quickly and means I end up with nice moist buds, but more than I would have

That's like the old days with spud peel
or orange peel in the packet of dry tobacco!

We all have terrible memories of hay-weed, wet, damp, clumpy and tasting like it's been left in a washing machine; when I say I like weed to have slightly more moisture, I don't mean this type of stuff - it's hard to explain. We're more likely to get this type of wet bud on the BM in the UK, so I understand why people would prefer dry weed, to err on the safe side.

At £5.50, this is a steal, and I find it v therapeutic. I'm not getting too 'stoned', but I have no anxiety, which is rare for me and what I want out of consuming cannabis. I think Lavender Cake will be on my prescription regularly. I was looking at the buds last night and they're so pretty, I'm not sure the images available, do them justice - bright green with purple hues and a spattering of orange pistils. It tastes how it looks and I'm a big fan of sweet flavours. I think maybe the flavours of cannabis we like tells us something about the terpene content our bodies enjoy.

Could be, I enjoyed Lavender when I enjoyed it, but sometimes I just wasn't in the mood for that sweet/baked goods taste, and if you're not in the mood for it but need to take it, it would feel a bit sickly to me at times, like being forced calpol as a child lol.

I definitely prefer a more natural, fresh taste, so I moved on after 2 months. More pines/citrus/lemon/foresty is up my street. But once in a while these sweet tasty strains are enjoyable, I just don't know if I can do 20 g a month of them! Maybe if I could split my script across 10 g bags, I wouldn't mind some Lavender now and again, it's certainly cheap and cheerful.

Just wondering if this is a fresh batch and an improvement on the the stuff we've had for what seems ages now and it wouldn't surprise me in the least.

I'm obsessed with this Wedding Cake X Animal Cookies you might like called, Meringue.

PLF Pharma Organic MRNG T19 Meringue Medical Cannabis Flower

There's an inbound grow of it as we speak, at £6.50/g. I smoked a lot of hash and concentrates before coming across the newer generation of cannabis, popularised over the past decade that seems fruitier, cakier and more terpene-rich. The gelato's, GSG's, animal cookies and wedding cake type strains really agree with me and I'm still trying to figure out why.

@GrownHealth I reckon it's a new batch. I'm super picky  and this is fire. I'm trying to upload some pics.

How do we get pictures onto the bud/flower listings page though?

I noted there wasn't a picture there for Lavender, and I suggested the one I uploaded in this thread earlier could be used, but I don't know how to do it myself - is it something users can do?

I also uploaded the patient information leaflet in this thread which is also missing from the bud/flower listings for Lavender.

I don't think it is live yet but I'm sure it's something I could easily do myself in the interim and I will bring it up as I would be able to take pics from here and backdate them where relevant and I did note that your Lavender pic was in the right sort of format and have followed suit with my pics since in anticipation of adding them (y)

It is something users will be able to do in the future when the review system is live and a lot of account verifications have to happen also before the reviews can go live is my understanding .
