420 from the Bedroom: Vapes, Strains & Small Wins

Happy 420, everyone!

Today’s the unofficial official cannabis day, and I couldn’t let it pass without posting—even if I’m still stuck in bed. I’ve never been to a 420 event, which makes me a tiny bit jealous of everyone heading off to the celebrations around the UK. I’ve seen some lovely posts from folks going out, and I’m rooting for you all to have a great time!

Me? I’ll be vaping the last of my Doce de Casa—I’m running low. I sent through my repeat request via the portal on Thursday, so fingers crossed everything’s ready to go by Wednesday (pay day!). I’ve ordered Strawberry Glue, one of those Upstate berry ones (I can’t for the life of me remember which—it was either Upstate Berry or Berry Cream I think?), and Grape Galena to round it out. I’ve had Grape Galena before and really liked it.

As for the Gabapentin update—still no pain relief (meh), but my GP has surprisingly been a little better lately. I told them I’m not going to introduce a midday dose yet—just sticking with morning and night for now. If it ever does help with pain, I might think about bringing one in later.

BUT—unexpected bonus—it’s been helping me sleep like an actual human. I’ve had chronic runs since October and was living on Loperamide. Since starting Gabapentin, that’s finally calmed down—maybe it’s masking the issue, maybe it’s the side effect doing me a favour, but either way, I’ll take it!

So even though I’m not at an event, I might celebrate with an old skool roll-up, just for the day.

Happy 420 I’m not doing anything special for it myself either. Maybe have a little smoke to mark the occasion. I prefer the vape these days but there’s something nostalgic about it, and it is 420 after all. Nice to see the gabapentin doing some sort of good for you, hopefully the pain relief comes in time

As if you havnt ventured to a 420 meet. Ive done a few 420s at hyde park london.

It was amazing seeing the cloud of smoke at 4.20pm over the park. I remeber the first time, it was a sunny day. Everyone standing up to attention at 4.20 blazing away.

The best experience was being able to roll a joint and smoking it in peach with the authorities creaping around you. Such a good feeling in your own country to do that in a relaxed atmosphere. Was buzzing.

Im abroad at the moment so i celebrated with some over priced hash i managed to muster up of some of the locals. BTW i dont advise looking for it here in tunisia. To deadly of an ilegal action of even smoking it never mind possession. Hefty jail time for the action. But non the less look in the right place you might find.... some nice fucking pollen hash tho.

Day late i know but happy 420 lol

Aww yeah me abd my fiancé went out. I actually managed to drag myself out of bed for something other than the constant hospitals. Yesterday was a good day however the literally few steps from my mobility scooter to that log in combination with the fresh has left me aching today but worth it.

I forgot it was bank hols today so the script i put in Thursday won't even be approved till tomorrow doh that's me on the phone from 9am tomorrow lol.

Anyway round the corner from mine so I didn't have to drive far. Sat on the log had a takeaway decaf coffee and just enjoyed. Photo for evidence.

And yes 12 years of utilising the herb and not once been to a 420 pre medical I was actually very private about my usage only daring to mentioned unless I recognised a fellow toker and even then restrained paranoid by the stigma convinced everyone would think I was a druggie... I use it because I never got high like everyone around me. Sometimes I'd be like is this even working but go without and the edge it was taking from my pain makes everything so much sharper. The focus and calm I get in my head disappears. Even with my m.c I find myself running off with a million ideas without anything I'm lost in the endless possibilities lol. You be careful I don't wanna be writing your story as an article Brit man gets caught etc lol move over Paul McCartney there's a new boy in town.. interesting fact he once got caught at Tokyo airport with half pound of weed in his luggage lol.

Just be careful but if you do get in trouble can I have first scoop lol.... I've decided even if I can never properly get out of bed and see the rest of the world at least I can still do something spent a little while writing a memoir style book it's practically done and I was gonna send to publish on kindle today but with bank hols I don't wanna risk tech glitches without support. So tomorrow I publish that and when my new laptop arrives I'll finish formatting reqs for the paperback version. Then I'll publish that too.

On top of that I'm 126 through my aim of my next 700page book. Having a break til later this morning I sorted my finances in order lol. This is what gets me with the dwp pip. I'm intelligent but that doesn't negate my needs. I'm stuck in bed I'd say that's a mobility issue yet they talk to me lol they hear my brain kick in and they are like oh this person has no issues lol.

Anyway enjoy the rest of your time away.

I grew up being careful as you have to, read the laws and rules of country and state before you make a decision.
That being said its still dangerous but needs must. Some contries more relaxed than others but here wow!

Im here on my own (first time single traveller, left the missus at home) so you can imagine the anxiety and the nerves going full pelt! My vapes ran out in the first few days lol. It made me extra cautious. Paranoid lol. I spend most of the time in the bloody room than anything else.

Im sorry to hear its difficult for you to get out, it breaks me being in 1 place for too long so i feel for you. The next 420 event i go to ill get a video link especially for you to join in the festations, is that even a word lol

my life would make a good story, i dont have the patience or the memory tho when thinking about it either. That and the lack of proper grammer and the dyspraxia, aspergers lol. Hence why i blab on n on and sometimes move away from subject lol. Still i like to read. I love to learn everything and anything that i can

Thankfully I'm awful for grammar I forget punctuation all over the place thankfully word has a grammar and spelling check. Or my book definitely wouldn't sound the same but the ideas are all there.

I've been to download in the disabled bit and to he fair within there even back in 2009 you'd think am I in UK. I wasn't even partaking back then lol. Well I may have had a lile cake a cookie who knows what might have gone in them for me at that time succumbed to the peer pressure and a mix of nativity when someone said I've got some home made cookies and cake you should try them hours after everyone else had seemed to be getting some reaction i had at that time thought nothing of the precious fair I had consumed many hours before my reaction felt like a cartoon you know where like they turn their head but takes a while for it to catch up at the same time as feeling like someone had banged me with a cartoon frying pan that same gong affect. I went back to camp cause to be honest that was a bit weird slept 4hrs again even back then unheard of woke up at 1am and spent the rest of the night talking to a fellow insomniac camper. Rather disappointed I'd snuffed them both in one go lol. Sadly it has never affected me the same since but those were good times lol. Bedbound Smedbound no longer gonna let it affect me. As long as I have my imagination and like you said a video link I can travel the world bedknobs and broomsticks style right from my bed.

As for the asperges I had my assessment back in Feb... still waiting for my diagnosis lol.

Keep up the meds when I went to Egypt one of the guys there was into my cousin found out again through my cousin I was a toker reached into his limited stash of his own hash broke it in half said. It's hard to get even for him but you never leave a fellow toker with nothing when you have some. Made me smile to see the stoners code appears universal lol xx

Lol universal indeed. I met a german-russian guy whod been here a few weeks. Man that guy was a chatty out going guy. I let him toke my vape he sorted me some hash out. Especially when im stash ran dry. So yea its a universal language of its own is weed.

I hate doctors as i never was able to be diagnosed with anything un till i was 28. I stopped going for years after being told i just had depression. Loading me up with anti depressants all the time. From secondary school up until 28 i was merly a bad lad who was depressed. After so long i stopped going to the docs until it was very serious. And then i was being told all sorts until i demanded to see senior doctors. This was at the age of 28 having fucked my life up regarding financial, social and everything else. I have ADHD, aspergers, dyspraxia, social disorders, insomnia. I thought i was mentally different to most. but still wanted to load me up on tablets after being told all that. Something i really hate as my town has a major drug problem. I tried but refused as the main thing what helped was cannabis. Which i told my doctors from the age of 16 onwards. So ive managed to survive by the skin of my teeth with no proper diagnosis all the way upto that point of being 28. I tried the doctors they wasnt helpful back then. Now im starting to try get the right help from the right medical professionals. Still a long way to go but ill get there.

Why its took me un till now to become a medical cannabis patient i dont know. Still going through the process. Not quite there yet (waiting on my consultation) but im determined to progress. Im still learning and am now willing to recieve the right medical assistants i wanted from day 1.
