Intros Introduction as a newbie

Hi, just been put on Med M and awaiting my order. I’m a 57 year old with many health issues and was prescribed lunar circu, black cherry punch and T22 FGS full gas. Both my kids are on MM too and my son recommended I try Lunar circus as he’s had it and it was good for relaxation and sleep, so I ordered it. Wondering if I need to order another type as well, but both the kids said one is enough, especially as a newbie who first know about any of it Any thoughts?

I felt like a kid at the sweetshop after years of black market (BM) where you just got whatever they had, probably same thing for weeks if not months

Trying different ones is beneficial for sure, there loads of information on here about the different strains, patient youtuber reviews, community pages chatting about them

I think I've had roughly 50 strains since I started medical cannabis (MC) and that includes quite a few repeats of things that worked especially well for something

They all have different effects, and they can affect different people differently, so you're really well advised to try as many as you can

They can go out of stock, be discontinued, or change between batches too, so it's good to have a knowledge of many strains you can pick from as and when

Welcome @loulee1967 and congratulations on being accepted as legal patient

I'd say the Black Cherry Punch may help with sleep and have seen a bit of bad feedback on the Lunar Circus but if it has worked for family members absolutely give it a go and its always wise if you can to try as many varieties as possible when starting out in case there is one you really don't like and you are left short so I'd say and if funds allow it err on the side of caution and maybe add one more in as you can always request less next month if you have surplas .

If you've been prescribed them then you should get and invoice for, and then receive, all three

Unless I've misunderstood something

I could’ve purchased all 3 but I only bought 1 as the kids said start off with one. I could still buy the other two that were prescribed, hence the questions. One is near expiry date, 30/06 however.

Ah yeah safer to purchase all 3 if your prescribed, if it's first month and you don't fill it they may cut you off? Pretty sure there's a minimum allowance with clinics but im not 100%

Thanks all. Well I tried Lunar circus and didn’t feel any effect. I vaped at 180 to start with then dropped to 165 as the taste was so strong I nearly puked! It did start my cough going (I do have a cough/virus atm so I’m not surprised.) I may have to wait until my cough has gone to be honest which would be a blow. I’m a little disappointed I must admit that I felt no effects from the vape.

Sorry to hear you've got off to a bad start with Lunar Circus which is a balanced strain with equal amounts of THC and CBD with the CBD working to counteract the THC but I still would of expected to feel something

I'd say possibly try a vape at about 170 -175 and have small draws on the vape as this should avoid the coughing hopefully and the funky tastes that come in the first draw or two on the vape will pass quickly but It'd give you a chance to see if it's effective as you should be able to take more draws on the vape if you get past the taste that is but sometimes the effects can be subtle with some strains where as the black cherry punch is very different and you feel the effects pretty much straight away as with some others but basically don't give up as this is probably down to strain profile and strain as much as anything .

I had a balanced one and I didn't like the taste of that one either (Therismos Blue Dream)

I've had CBD only flower before and it's not my cup of tea shall we say

I have a CBD vape pen now, I'll vape tasty THC flower in the mighty or volcano, and top up with CBD around it when needed during the day

Don't worry it's not a silly question in the slightest and I find it very relaxing and just about gets me to sleep but I've used Cannabis for many years so would actually say go steady with it as can have an effect pretty quick compared to others and whilst not the highest THC% is certainly punches above its weight and a couple here like a little stronger but this one works well for me and is cheap

This is a pity and I'm trying to think of an explanation as to why your getting no effects and do you have access to a different vape to try them out on as no effects off all 3 is pretty surprising but the vape is the common factor here and possibly could be the reason ?
