As a clinic they don't mind at all but the process can be a pain.

The portal you make requests on will only show Montu stock. So if you're requesting an OOS product or a product they don't stock you'll have to ping them an email instead.

I recommend emailing your script in a day or two before the portal repeat date if you go this route because it takes them 2 days to respond usually.

You can also split your script across multiple pharmacies but you'll need to ping an email for that as well.
Yeah I kinda thought that was the process, can you also phone up and sort out the external pharmacy thing or just email?

You've come this far mate, don't throw it away at the final hurdle!

Are you able to get this evidence easily? They accept things like NHS app screenshots so if you've got any info in there it could be an easy fix for you. I Didn't have old script info in my app but the "documents and events" section contained info from the appointments where id requested the medications.

If it's really stressing you out, maybe just ping your GP an email asking to confirm the dates you had these medications, then forward/screenshot that email as proof. that may be suitable enough.

Still.
No.
Script.
Chase email sent today.

It was approved last Thursday, but it still hasn't been released. Updating not so much to moan, just so that anyone considering Alternaleaf can set their expectations. When I first started looking into it, first contact --> script was looking to be around 2-3 weeks. I'm approaching 6 weeks and I haven't even dared look to see whether the products on my script are even still in stock. If they're not, a new script will have to be issued.

I'd say new patients should expect to be waiting at least 4-6 weeks before getting a script. There've been errors made in processing mine (due to a brand new doc mis-writing my script), but even so, they seem to be operating considerably slower than they were a couple of months ago.

Anyone else finding things a bit sloooooow...?

Request sent Sunday night, approved and sent to pharmacy on Thursday, no payment link yet 🥱😴

In that time of course the cap junky I wanted has come back in stock, LCG has come back in and been reduced to 70 so I miss out on that too, the t30 pave at Montu has gone no new requests so who knows if it will be in stock by the time I'm getting a payment link, and the new t28 batch came in at IPS 🙃

The bottom half of that message sounded so familiar ,it's like they even know which blinkin strains we're waiting for 😅 and Lank was finding them a bit slow earlier in the week and I think gave em a nudge .

Not to get too tin foil hat, but it almost feels like a mindful decision to nudge patients into choosing in house brands (with assumably higher margins). The stock levels on Upstate/ Sundaze®/craft botanics solid as a rock. I can't really blame them for keeping more stock of their own products to be fair, but then equally, they can't blame me for jumping ship 🤷‍♀️ Appreciate the heads up on Lank there but I've run out of energy for nudging 😴time for me to find a more long term solution I feel 🙏

I sent part of my script to Montu this month, and I think it was the 5th working day since they received it that I got the stuff added to the basket area

Mamedica® I sent one too and we just finished working day 5 since they received and not heard a scoob

I did send an email chaser, but they didn't interact with that, it looked like they are just slow at the moment

Gutted mate just slow all around then by the seems of it 😴 cheers 👊

Just spent an hour on hold for a robot to eventually tell me there are no agents available and put the phone down??? I requested a call back 3 hours ago but assumably there are no agents to call me back either 🤷‍♀️🤣 I give up. When the going is good with Alternaleaf, it's good, but if you have a problem it's a nightmare. Finally I have managed to talk to someone via the live chat and they have asked the pharmacy to release my prescription as a priority.. let's see how long that takes 🙃

Finally I got a payment link so that makes 8 working days from request. Relieved to have finally got the script paid for and some pave on the way but too little too late and I will continue the search for greener pastures.

Not good enough is it, when I order it I want it tomorrow really, I've said before that it's the whole MC industry seems to have said 'how can we dream up the most opaque and slack systems to drive people with anxiety & similar conditions absolutely wild whilst they try and access their medication'

Though I had a problem with Mamedica® (mentioned on their pharmacy page) - got my clinic to quickly rewrite to Montu, Montu received yesterday, and this morning the item was in my basket to pay!

Not sure if I was just lucky this time or it's a positive sign

LMAO it really seems that way doesn't it!

That sounds promising to be fair! From what I've seen at the moment it seems some % of requests are dealt with almost instantly, and the rest at a snails pace. I suspect they are trialing a new system on a random sample of patients, which would be a good idea if it weren't for social media! 🤣 Reading of same day turnarounds on requests hasn’t helped calm my nerves at all!

It's not just the pace for me though. One request per month has bugged me from the start and I have just missed out on too much over the months, both in terms of popular flowers coming in and out of stock before I get a chance to request, or reduced bargains like the rosin carts at the moment.

Is anybody able to get onto the live chat? Or even find it in the first place? It seems to have vanished from their website since the start of the week.

Hey, you lot. Just caught up on this thread and it looks like loads of you are having similar issues with Alternaleaf. I finally got a script a few weeks ago, but it was incorrect, and missing products I had agreed with the doc. It was returned for correction and I've been chasing it weekly, by both phone and email - I've even made a formal complaint - but there's no action from Alternaleaf. Whenever I call, I wait at least 45 mins to speak to someone, and get told that the required actions need a doctor and a task will be set for them. Unless I chase it, I don't hear anything back. I was told I couldn't speak to a manager unless I made a complaint, so I did, but 2 weeks on, I've not even had my complaint acknowledged. To add insult to injury, one of my key products, the Sourdough cart, is now on NNR.
I think it's time to call it a day with MedCann, I'm afraid. So much of my limited executive resource has been wasted on Alternaleaf and I just don't have the will to do it all over again elsewhere. What a shambles.

Sorry to hear you've been having a crappy experience with Alternaleaf so far. I've heard lots of good things about the new clinic Medicann, it's free except for delivery and weed cost and are very patient centred from the sounds of things.

Clinics can't expect patients/customers (because that's what we are to them) to not revert back to BM bud when one gets better customer service from Peter the Plug.

Controlled drugs usually come with bureaucratic bumps in the road but even then, the £ signs in the UK MC industry need serious re-evaluating. One just needs to look at Australia's market, or even Germany. I won't get started on how cheap a lot of our Canadian stuff is sold for in Canada.

Get over to Medicann and save yourselves the headache guys honestly its been fantastic, quick and easy to swap over haven't got a single bad word to say about them 🤟

Anyone who does decide to make the switch, go on the MediCann site do the eligibility form etc takes 2 mins (its a formality whether your a patient already or not) and on your first telephone appt just let them know your already a patient elsewhere and want to swap over, immediately they will know to skip a bunch of questions etc and it just speeds the whole process up tenfold

To be fair to the UK market we do have the lowest entry fees for treatment globally.

In Aus for example, patients are charged insanely high annual fees to cover doctor fees. In the UK we don't do that and as a result clinics make huge losses. So they pair up with pharmacies in profit sharing schemes where they'll funnel patients to a specific pharmacy and receive x% of the profit.

Whereas in Aus there's that race to the bottom mentality, there's less desire to do that here as that's where these twats make their dollar.

Whilst on the subject of Aus and Montu. They routinely find themselves in hot water for patient practices. I think it's starting to infiltrate how they work in the UK. (E.g one doc got in trouble for prescribing 17,000 times in a year in Aus, working out at 1 every 3 minutes. Alternaleaf appointments range in that 3-5 minute territory from most patient reports).
