Good morning.

Just ventured into the world of prescription cannabis. Long, long history of back problems which were sorted with an op, but now one of the many with chronic pain and fybro. Started smoking full time for the pain about four year ago after coming off many years of meds, including an addiction to oramorph for about ten years.

Life went really downhill for a time due to the constant pain, weight gain and worthlessness due to not working for many years. Had to do something, so enrolled on an intensive pain management course at our local hospital. It helped, but it obviously didn't help the pain. Recently the bm cannabis just hasn't been helping much. Many nights not going to bed because of the pain, including last night. I've done more all nighters recently than I ever did in my younger days 😁 I signed up to Curaleaf and am expecting some oil and flower in the next day or so. I've read up here about Curaleaf and there seems to be mixed opinions on their service. Will see how it goes, its no biggie really. Can always change when I want.

One thing I'm looking for is a vapourizer. This treatment isn't going to be a short term thing. Really need to get my life properly back on track, and this includes going down the legal route. I have seen the Mighty Plus and some of you recommend it in other posts. Is it really worth the investment. I don't mind buying one if its going to last. If it is worth it, where would you recommend I get one from.

Thanks for admission into the group, looking forward to meeting you all.

Welcome, I recommend the Mighty Plus and the capsules, especially for someone new to vaping cannabis, they are like the 'old reliable' car of the vapourisers - nothing fancy but reliable, comes with good warranty, had mine 2 years never put a foot wrong just keeps chugging away, battery life still seems as it's always been so far and apparantly you can send it off to get the battery replaced for a fee when eventually needed

You can get them at some of the pharmacies, I bought mine and then my wife's here as seems to have the lowest open market price I've seen

Welcome to the Community @ChubbsSW. Sorry to hear of your struggles, very similar to me regarding pain but ive lost a hell of a lot of weight, I wasn't overweight, always had a six pack without training. Anyway you’ve come to the right Community regarding advice, its second to none. Some really nice knowledgeable people here in the community and from different paths of life who have struggles with their health like yourself.
Everyone is different regarding vapourisers and I would start near the low price range as they work just as good as the Hundreds of pound ones. I have an Xmax V3 Pro. If your a smoker I'd go for convection heating with a vapouriser. I've had the High end stuff and really wasted my money in my opinion. There are others here who could help guide you too, don't just take my word as mine may not suit you as I think its ideal for helping to convert to vaping from smoking and cheaper 👍

Thanks for the welcome Dooby, its appreciated.

So this is the one you recommend https://www.amazon.co.uk/Concentrat...se&keywords=xmax+v3+pro&qid=1757589105&sr=8-3

Looks good considering the battery can be changed at short notice. Might be worth getting another battery for it.
EDIT: Also, do you recommend the Bodeva humidity packs.

Yes that's a positive that the battery can be changed. I'd recommend Dosing Capsules for any vapouriser you buy, they keep the device in pristine condition, especially the heating points of the device.
