Intros New to MC and am panicking about cost of first script.

Hey Everyone,
This site is invaluable!! Everyone gives great advice.
Im new to MC but not cannabis, going through the 90’s at raves and clubs etc. But in the last 10 years I moved and getting hold of stuff on the BM has got harder. So I have been using it sparingly (one J a night) to sleep. I’ve had my meeting with the pharmacist at Alterleaf, but the guy was speaking so fast, as I bet he repeats himself a lot, so I just about made out half of it. It was literally a 3 minute call! He asked me about budget but didn’t know what to say, so said £100, he just said don’t worry as the oil he has prescribed me will last 3 months. He is also giving me flower. I know I might be a bit naive as hardly anyone talks about the cost of their monthly script. I’m not a heavy user to start, so am wondering until I build tolerance, can you skip a month or order less or are you bound in to buy lots. Obviously I need pain relief as I want to come off all these drugs, but just wondering what a rough average script is.

Welcome to the community @Montysmumma and good to see you've been accepted onto medical and script price varies wildly but apparently the average is 30g of flower so I would actually say between £150-£200 using them amounts which is equivalent to a gram a day but you will find a lot of people use more but the average overall is around 30g I believe and if you use less then less money but it seems you have a lot of experience of canna so may find 30g not enough in the long run but good luck with it all and between your first script and second we'll help all we can with filling in the blanks as you get used to things .I'm not to sure about skipping a month but maybe another member from your clinic will be and can help here but I'm also sure just 10g or something would be fine as some of us have financial difficulties or you may just not need it that month.

Old skool 28grams in an oz so you've landed about right by the sound of it and you will be able to get it for pretty much £150 -£200 and there are few dearer ones but I tend to aim for £5-£7/g so it would probably average £180/month and you may not use that much yet but good luck with it

They have a few discounted ones pretty regularly as well so we're always on top of things like that as you can often save a bit and still get decent meds .

I joined a different clinic as it’s was free and so far iv places 2 orders around a week apart rather than order it all in one go as if you check each day you should see ones reduced because of short dates or high stock volume and most you have to buy 10g of each but first time I grabbed a couple at full price think 5.50 and £5.95 then got one for £40 that others had been selling 75/85 so then you know should be good or hope so and then they reduced that one by further 10 to £30 and another to £40 that had also been £85 I think so I have to pay postage at £4.99 but at the moment rather do that more often and grab some top stuff at good prices and iv missed some amazing deals too so think most probably come round especially the more clinics get and I wasn’t sure joining the only free clinic But so far been fantastic from info to delivery within a week and really easy to navigate… know some clinics have different options but there’s over 100 types of flower and we can choose what ever we want so can just order anything within reason yet seen some pretty big orders but then if i could afford it I’d probably smoke more or better but I’m sure as say they will all go round at deals then paying £3/4g and feel lot less guilty spending on myself x

Welcome @Montysmumma , MC is all scary at the start , as is the cost. I’m not sure about missing a months script , I have wondered this myself. I hope you get sorted and get some natural pain relief asap at a cost that suits, it’s a minefield but this place and the people really helped me , it’s such a valuable resource.

If your used to paying 35/40 for a 3.5 its cheap some is only 6.90 for good you can expect to pay 10.00 for top but not allways the best I would say 8 max or if you know and can afford pay 10 but on average 7 for the g so 70 for 10 carnt complain with that

If I follow full treatment plan(50 gram of 24% flower, 10 gram 30% flower and 10ml 20% oil) it will cost over 460 per month!!!
Going to split it to 10g of each flower and 10ml oil so ad I can follow plan, just with half of the flower.

Couldn't be happier, but I can't sell my body and I can't donate my kidneys. Are there any eccentric billionaires out there needing an immobile wheezy court jester? honestly I'm a cracking laugh...

Yeah that’s the hardest part I can’t afford the amount I need to function properly so just have to be glad of any relief I can get with what I can afford but not easy cant even lift my arms above my waste yet if I had enough weed i could and I’d end up coming round on the floor less or being black and blue from hurting myself trying to do stuff that would be easier if i could afford enough flower but just having to get what can to stop me getting bed bound for days as not an option now there’s only me and the dogs iv got to be able to look after them and the house and try to look after myself I guess too yet far less important than the dogs

Panic over!!!! was able to put first order in today and it was made up ready to dispatch by 10.30!!! I was also able to buy it in smaller quantites to spread the cost! Well done Curaleaf I will let you know how I get on. But so far very impressed!
