How closely should I be looking at expiry dates on flower and carts?

My latest carts are all Dec/Jan dated, and I can't see them going bad, but the remaining flowers I have were all June/July dated.

They've been in medical jars, in a dark cupboard, with Boveda 62% (size 4) since they arrived, but I don't know if I should just get rid of them. I'm sitting on about an ounce of out-of-date flower.

Thanks

Like food mate , If it smells and looks off don't use it . unless you have a auto immune problem I cant see much harm coming to you consuming it out of date. It probably will not taste as good and be lower in THC but cant see it hurting you. Though I AM NOT A DOCTOR! I could easily be wrong but in your position I would use it unless it looked and smelled dead. Plus if you have that much Flower left over your defiantly over ordering, save your self some money and reduce by 10g a month until you find the sweet spot.

It should be good but I always find your nose is the best guide and I don't use expiry dates and more just judge what is in front of you (y)

This was old flower from my first clinic. I've not ordered any flower since because I can't justify it so am basically surviving on carts.

I see all the discussions here and want to try more flower but I need to do something with this lot first.

It should be fine, as long as it's been stored well, worst case is some of the THCa has converted to CBNa which means the gear is less potent and more sleepy

I've used stuff years old before, again, as long as it's stored well, you just have to expect it might not be as pokey and you might want to use a bit extra

Your good man , my first few months I ended up over stocked because I didn't want to miss any good strains. One good way to use up a fair bit of flower is make some edibles. Though be careful last time I made some I almost went to a different place in space time 🌠💫✨
