Made an application to join a clinic based on this great website.
I shouldnt see any issues being accepted and such with my medical issues, 44yr old and smoked since I was 19 pretty much as a way to function not as a lifestyle or choice.
Shame that it had to come to this but this is the only way forward as I see it.

Welcome to our lovely ship @Fiddlesticks and it's good to see you found what works for you early on in your adult life like many here and it's good to see the law and medicine finally coming to terms with a lot of us known for a long time about the medicinal properties of canna.
The legality and access to a decent choice of strains are a massive plus on medical .

Good luck with the application but like you say there shouldn't be any issues so once again welcome to the community(y)

Made the transition myself in February last year having spent some 20+ years self medicating via black market products, still pinch myself to this day I'm a fully legal cannabis consumer 🤯

Sounds like you will have no issues being accepted to your chosen clinic, wish you the best with it and hope to see you around the forums 😁👍🙏

Thanks to the forum and all the information and peoples posts I decided to go for a no fee option and see how my consumption goes.
I can see that there are some real experienced users on the forum and the bot scrapers and pharmacy lists really helped.
Everyone has different needs and budgets, mine being a salivating desire for some Jack Herer tbqhwy.

Im sure it will take about a month all in to process but properly happy. Its too cold for street corners at my age...

Still waiting for my docs to release my summary of care to me when I went in person to request them at surgery a week ago.
Strange that Mamedica® who I gave no permission to have managed to pull these records already.
Keep spamming me with calls
I see this is an issue a few new applicants have.

Just thought I would add this as my experience when waiting with an application.
Seems just putting in some basic details on a form = all systems go with Mamedica.

I say it a lot but there's genuinely no better feeling than that first delivery day. It's wonderful. So when it does arrive I hope you savour every second of it.
 
I remember it well there, back in the summer of '24

The world seemed different then, we smoked our dirty secrets through orbs and tubes and slivers of dead tree, passing on the left, as was the style at the time, or heated it on blades meant rather for the separating and distributing of foodstuffs.

Then I heard of the holy medical and scorned it and believed it was only for the chosen ones.

And lo, the light of the medical did descend and warm the bones of this one, weary of hiding and sneaking precious, I received THE FIRST DELIVERY

And it was good. 🔥

Seriously though @joint_account is right I remember every little moment of it, and usually I can't remember where my clothes live.
 
Finally got my medical docs and was accepted.
Now the two week wait on an appointment. A month to process all in was accurate for an onboarding estimate.
Two weeks of that delay was me providing all the right stuff.

For anyone reading this thread wanting to make an application I would highly recommend to source your own medical records and not to rely on clinics doing it for you.
My GP was confused as to why both I was requesting information and some clinics and decided not to process my request initially thinking that the clinic request was a duplicate.

I love bureaucracy!

Its a good feeling being accepted, being Legal to use Cannabis for our health conditions is even better 👌 you'll find you'll be more open with your NHS Docs too now your going to be legal, its been positive too for me for many reasons 👍
