Just had this delivered and tried a wee taste.
These buds are NOT small!
Not complaining mind haha but not what I was expecting at all. For the cheaper price I was totally expecting tiny little poppers.
A little dry maybe, dusty in the bag and the grind, but otherwise just right for grinding - just don't leave it out of the jar for too long it will dry out really quick.
The smell is actually amazing and so is the taste. First thing was the smell of strawberry hit me in the face really strong when I opened her up - not usual for govt weed lol Hopefully that smell stays after jarring up.
Thought it worth sharing that these nugs are actually pretty awesome, much more than I was expecting for the price point

Update on day one;
The smell and taste has moved entirely onto Apricot in quite a big way actually lol
Buzz is a creeper... Indica style sedation which hits nice, cheese style nice, but equally in a cheese style it doesn't last as long as I'd like and I'm already predicting a quick tolerance resistance before I've even ground a second time.
My wonder has now pointed squarely onto the non-smalls version - which is a few THC% stronger. I'm not sure it's worth the extra £20 to find out lol but it might just be what I'd need to counter any tolerance issues... ? again, it's 20 quid extra, 80 a bag, just to find out. I am interested to see some pics of it though, to compare and see what these guys consider to be non-small nugs. Maybe they're actual colas? haha
I'd just like to know how they qualify what constitutes 'smalls' or 'minis' or whatever - like is there a size threshold for the nugs /shrug
I guess I'm just struggling to see what constitutes 20 quid difference if it's the exact same strain, grown at the exact same place with the exact same conditions.
Why can't the other larger nugged bags also be £60 if that's the case...

From my days making diy vape juices, strawberry was always the one flavour companies couldn't reproduce very well. Badly, actually lol
to be honest I wasn't expecting much flavour anyway just because of that but also govt weed rarely has a smell anyway.
That first opening of the bag is where I got hit - I have a feeling it wasn't natural, like that smell was sprayed into the bag or something just before it was sealed (I've thought that with previous brands too) because the actual smell and taste are totally apricot and nothing like that initial smell... which happened immediately.
Apricot's okay though, really moorish actually lol so if it is sprayed with a strawb scent then I don't understand why if it's gorgeous smelling already - just speculating though, I not studied in terpenes stored in a bag physics. lmao /shrug maybe that's normal for apricot to turn strawberry over time and then back again for no reason at all...
All that aside, it's a good review so far and I like it
I will continue my decision making - do I get more or not, is the question... Smoking all of this will help me decide
They all remind me of Macdonald's Milkshakes. Banana (Synthetic Flavouringz) is the worst, shortly followed by Strawberry.

See this is why I wanna be with Medicann. No restrictions. Just order when something drops n pay for the post. Just got my script in STONE last week ha I wudda been able to get this off IPS if Montu stocked it and it was cheaper or they were out of stock. Fkn hate that restrictionAppreciate the heads up mate! Get it done mate it'll be a breath of freah air for you not being restricted to one monthly prescription like you are at Alternaleaf, that's one of the complaints my partner had was new products on the Montu website but unable to pick any of them having already chosen, no ability to cancel or swap etc and then they would be no new requests the next month
She transfered when Medicann first launched on the UK mainland and was onboard within 48hrs, I know things have gone through the roof with the amount of patients signing-up or transfering so I'd ensure you have enough medication to cover the time waiting if you do decide to make the switch as Alternaleaf discharged my partner on the spot when they was informed from Medicann of wanting to transfer.

Yea so I want access to ALL of IPS too. I mean what's the biggie. Alternaleaf use em anyway. So in me next review if they don't then I'm out. I read that Medicann use IPS and if something is in IPS that's not in the Medicann formulary then they get it for you. That's true right ? Anyway, thanks for taking the time to give me some info

Here she is, certainly not the smalls you get from 4C Labs or LIT.
Come a little dry for my liking, they're dense and with the dryness they're just crumbling between the fingertips, so it's into a UV Jar with 69% Boveda on a 4 hour timer then I'll gauge how it feels see if it needs any longer which I suspect it will.
Aroma is soooo fruity got those peach and apricot notes coming through on the nose really well, I want to keep my nose in jar
Some what translates into the taste not overly pronounced compared to the smell but those peach/apricrot flavours are definitely there, I do hope with the usual boveda + waiting time it starts coming through more!
Overall on first impressions I'm happy with it, perfect for my partner who sometimes needs those lower THC Indica Hybrid Hybrids to relax her body, reduce the spasms in and around her lumbar/sacrum area without her wanting to nap due to the sedation generally felt with higher THC Indicas.
£55 represents good value, great medicinal properties and it's not totally void of terpenes, one little niggle but that's more personal preference with regards to moisture, can't see anybody finding fault with this for it's price point
