Honestly, I have to agree here - I always consider "Buddy" a Canadian/American word. Though I also have to admit that was part of the inspiration behind "MedBud" is it's meant to imply both "medical bud" (as in flower) and "medical buddy" (as in a friend or companion).

Incidentally, on Monday the two month "contest" period for MedBud's official trademark registration ended, without opposition. In the next week or so, MedBud should be a fully registered trademark in the UK. Just waiting on official notification via the 'Intellectual Property Office':


EDIT: That said, my favourite local dealer is known as "Buddy" too, and he's as English as they come :ROFLMAO:

As others I find "buddy" to be part of the pervasive creeping americanisation & hegemony within UK and elsewhere, I don't like it. Some may ofc.

Budders is better for me, but MedBudders sounds...odd! I think it needs more community brainstorming.
