Before I got my script , i felt exactly the same. And although my script is for PDD (Depression) I have been a user and an advocate for cannabis all my life and certainly support Decriminalization and Recreational use for Eveyone . Ive always thought it was less damaging to people and society to have something natural ,unprocessed and easy to produce to unwind as an alternative to alcohol.
And Yes people such as myself who self medicated for a coupla decades ( as well as recreational back then) have been 'forced'down this route as the 'StarDawg' you speak of mysteriously flooded the UK market around 2020
interesting as I have never in my life heard of such a thing, its just Not in the nature of the herb as variety is the key with cannabis as Everything usually stops working so well after 2-3 weeks of repeat use of same strain.And Quite worrying at the same time for Reasons I dont want to get into too much here for now , but The Democidal Globalists I think have a hand in this. In Short the 'Street weed'nearly everything without exception is Powerful synthetic cannabinoids, and from the pains in your head and kidneys on smoking it Im guessing theyve been engineered to cause max. Damage to both whilst just dipping under the radar as 'The Dog'. It certainly is a Globalist Mutant Dog but Not Stardawg, which is a tasty strain when not adulterated We might find Stardawg is refering to the K9 - possibly a classification code for these Powerful group of Synthetics Designed To Fuck You Up Good and Proper 
As for designer / elite weed .. Its not perfect by any stretch..and its pricey if you use your allowance each month. For me it still feels like ' something ' is missing but at least im legal now and have variety at my fingertips.
Nothing beats a good natural organic from yer mate round the corner in my honest opinion , But then I'm an old Dawg and we really knew our shit when it comes to this Plant. It was our Religion practically✌
So definitely worth it , even just to save ourselves from the Toxic and braindamaging Synthetics out there ..

I totally agree Tho this has ALL just been a Massive Corporate Takeover of the Weed Market / Industry. I watched it happening in slow motion for the last 10 years playing out in North /South America. Small producers not getting a look in and being squeezed out through crippling legislation and regulations, mostly Globalist Control Sustainable Development Goals Shenanigans.
