🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Curaleaf®
So I've just had my 2nd appointment with Curaleaf.. I was advised that due to the strains previously prescribed not working for me, that it might be that I have a high dependency and that street cannabis might be the better option ?? Am I dependant?!? The last time I had two weeks off smoking anything was prior to my first prescription 4 weeks ago lol, so when my first script arrived, you can imagine how disappointed I was when the strains did little for me ! High dependency ?!?
I have been prescribed this time Zookies, Gorilla Glue and Wedding Pop to try which I'm a whole lot happier to try this time but I feel somewhat let down considering this was appointment NO'2 and I'm already being advised that they may not be able to help me as I'm requesting top end THC (which was never the aim). The only aim being switching my brain off and getting some beauty sleep each night...!
Time to change clinics ??
Which is the best budget friendly clinic to consider ?

Mate I wouldn't even pay for that script if I was you and it's not your fault they want to ply you with their own brand goods that many patients avoid although some do like them and if I was in your position I would move pronto to somewhere you can choose freely from like Alternaleaf, Integro or CB1 Medical and to be honest I'm pretty aghast at what they have said to you .

I'd try one of three clinics I've suggested above and CB1 would be the easiest as they deal with the SCR but each will offer what you need service wise I'd assume .

Sorry, am I understanding you correctly? Your general medical council registered consultant advised that because you might be dependent on a drug that your best course of action would be to source that drug on the black market?

Well, it goes without saying that if that were true it would be a serious breach of GMC standards, a breach of duty of care, a breach of the hippocratic oath, as well as potentially conspiracy to facilitate illegal procurement of class B drugs...

I'm hoping you've dearly misunderstood the consultant's advice?

Curaleaf themselves have strains in their formulary from their own pharmacy with around 50% more THC than the strains you were likely started off with, so if their rule is "anyone not affected by T21 must have dependency issues", it boggles the mind they they offer T28 at all.

I'm thinking that all the consultant was trying to get across is that it might be common for people to perceive medical cannabis as being weak in effect if they're switching from black market cannabis to medical cannabis very suddenly. I don't think that's necessarily true as I find it unlikely that the average street dealer is achieving high THC %s, unless it's the fact that street strains have little BUT THC that makes them seem stronger, etc. But I think it's more likely that the switch from smoking to vaping might be responsible for that general effect because most people smoke black market but vape medical.

So they were maybe just saying "well, let's not put you straight up to high THC %s straight away, let's see if maybe you get used to vaping the medical first", which might be a fair enough clinical approach to take at this early stage. We don't automatically rush to the stronger end of options in other medical approaches, so you can see why doctors would be reticent to do it that way.

I'm enjoying the Find Wedding Pop Triangle as we speak and I'm enjoying it a lot so I'll probably stick the Curaleaf T24 version on my script next month. GG4 I didn't enjoy, haven't tried Zookies, but hopefully they work better for you!

It's totally up to you, it's a private market, most clinics will be happy to take a new patient that's already vetted by another clinic.

I remember as clear as day as I nearly stopped him to say "do you mean tolerance" but obviously they're the professional so you don't question it ?!
I also said in my first consultation that Sativas like Haze don't do anything for me and then was prescribed High Silver in my first prescription?!
I'm not going to collect that script and will wait for CB1 Medical... I hope tomorrow is a better day lol !
