im new to this preption , clinic
option, so id be very grateful if anyone can give me some advice,, i have severe insomnia, and im looking for a strain that would be very effective to use just before bedtime, i have used varieties before but as im sensetive to THC, i just get a racing mind and actually the canabis keeps me awake all night then, as i also start to get anxious, im looking for a strain that gives a mind calming heavy body drowsiness, i know it will need to be Indica, but some ive heard are more specific for sleep,. purple urkle is the one ive had most reccomendations about but i cant find it on here, has anyone encountered it in any clinics? i also wondered if there are any other insomnia sufferes on here? as id alsdo like to ask which clinic stocks oils tinctures , and more Indicas, or who are known for being helpful for patients with sleeping issues, thanks

Welcome @dari78. Your in good hands here. CB1 Medical is a good choice of Clinic, there are plenty of choices on their Formulary for flower, oils, vapes and pastilles. For evenings a good Indica would work for you regarding lack of sleep and probably a good oral oil to go with it of an evening. The docs and staff are very understanding and listen to you, it's easy to speak to someone if you needed to phone them for anything, they can obtain your medical records for you, so your not having to do the leg work as they are connected to the NHS. It cost nothing to transfer from another clinic. It costs £50 per Yr for as many consultations as you need in that 12mths. I can choose my own meds because I know what works for me. Hope this little bit of info helps 👍. There are plenty of people here who can't sleep without meds who can help with a choice of strains for your condition.

It’s tricky. Everyone is different. For me cosmic cream and sourdough are my gotos for sleep. If you are really sensitive to THC, try CBD strains? But I’m sure there are some THC strains out there that will knock you out, it’s just a case of finding them. Peace

Have a look at a landrace pure Indica like Hindu kush, Sundaze® have a purple punch that's very heavy for some
yes ive heard purple strains of Indica are very good for sleep

You can send in your records yourself no problem. Some people have issues gathering their records themselves. It is best that your GP is aware of any private treatment by another prescribing doctor. This is to ensure that your GP is aware and can update your records especially if you were to have an accident, your records need updated so the best treatment is given to you. That's just one of many reasons. Myself, when I mentioned to my GP pharmacist I was going to be taking cannabis as a preferred treatment and to cut my opiate intake down, she didn't like it at all. Now when we speak, she excepts my treatment now because of my NHS pain Specialists excepting that i use Cannabis for my conditions and the positive benefits I'm having from Cannabis Treatment. I've been told by her if I were to go into hospital my treatment for cannabis would have to carry on as a treatment. You don't have anything to worry about your doctor knowing that your using cannabis as a treatment.

Any flower with purple or blue in the name are good strains. Purple Punch for one, don't think that available but it does come about.

i appreciate what your saying,, , are all clinics based like that , or can you join others without a need for sending in records?

are there 50, 50 strains were the CBD will counteract the THC?
There are a few strains like this(balanced) that patients currently have access to:

There is also a larger selection of oils ,vape carts and pastilles that have an equal balance of THC:CBD :

Vape Cartridges:

Pastilles:

That's exactly what I've done, I've done the cutting down in my time and have reduced my nasty meds by 2/3rds and still have to take meds as I can't get it down more unless I'm given an allowance of 90g flower per month but can't afford that, so I still have to take opiates 👍

I agree with you as I am same position as well , I still have to use my GP medication.

It would be good to get all our meds on the NHS, we are doing the NHS a favour, it's about time it was returned, even if the NHS provided us with oils or vapes and we just paid for our flower would help. It's a great financial burden to the disabled like myself who can't work for a living anymore and don't have any funds to properly get the quality of life I should have, being disabled. All my money goes on Medication like everyone else in my position 💯

Its disgusting really, at the end of summer I'm thinking switching to 10/20g legal the rest sourced elsewhere, and if were not seeing much more affordable come september, I'll advise peeps on here to do the same.

Thing is dooby its unsustainable for me + you + >85% of us I suspect on here. So the industry got to change or I have - isn't it?
I'm a smoker as well so I got 80g + tobacco its out of control. We all need 8 different strains available to us at £5.

Most definitely mate, I'm juggling my finances all the time to be able to get the monthly quantity I need. Some months you can't get the quantity you need because of unforseen circumstances ect then you have a bad month with your health issues. I see why People go 10/20.

It’s a good idea , but someone like me I’ve no idea of where and how safely to go about it , much appreciated though for advice and directions 🙏🏽
