Get over to Medicann and save yourselves the headache guys honestly its been fantastic, quick and easy to swap over haven't got a single bad word to say about them 🤟

Anyone who does decide to make the switch, go on the MediCann site do the eligibility form etc (its a formality whether your a patient already or not) and on your first telephone appt just let them know your already a patient elsewhere and want to swap over, immediately they will know to skip a bunch of questions etc and it just speeds the whole process up tenfold
I would also second this. Don't give up on things just yet. If you speak to another clinic and it sounds alike hard work then fair enough but as someone who is on his 4th clinic, Medicann blew me away with their ease and speed.

Sorry to hear you've been having a crappy experience with Alternaleaf so far. I've heard lots of good things about the new clinic Medicann, it's free except for delivery and weed cost and are very patient centred from the sounds of things.

Clinics can't expect patients/customers (because that's what we are to them) to not revert back to BM bud when one gets better customer service from Peter the Plug.

Controlled drugs usually come with bureaucratic bumps in the road but even then, the £ signs in the UK MC industry need serious re-evaluating. One just needs to look at Australia's market, or even Germany. I won't get started on how cheap a lot of our Canadian stuff is sold for in Canada.
It's far too expensive in the UK, for sure. Not enough consistency in supply, either. I'll check Medicann out - thanks for the tip (and @THCUK )

That's the worst thing about medical after the expensive medication is dealing with the clinics and the pharmacy all the time.

I am always on the phone to mine trying to sort out one thing or another. I think they are all the same from my experience and what I have read on here for the last 12 months

Ah man this was my first clinic of choice but I was ghosted for like 2 weeks even in the most initial stages before becoming a patient, feels like I dodged a bullet here...
Were also my first choice lol they kept hounding me (still do in emails months later) I had the opposite experience with them lol I felt they were overly eager/slightly pushy to get you to join

I am soooo close to giving up. It's been 6 weeks since my doctor appt and I've spent at least 2 hours every week since then in admin battles, trying to get it sorted out.
I'll check out MedCann and if it's easy to transfer, I'll give it a go. If it doesn't work, then I'm back to Dodgy Dave 😫

I've moved to Alternaleaf from Releaf, mainly for access to a much wider formulary and RRP rather than one price for all flower. I'm due for my first month review on Thursday and so far it has been relatively smooth and they got my script right.
The doctor I saw at Alternaleaf was not as good as the doctors I saw at Releaf. He seemed abrasive and unempathic.
I did squeeze 3 months admin free as they are advertising that if you get your discharge letter over to them and transfer before the end of September you 3 months free admin charges. I did have to email them about it and got a slightly curt initial response about escalating it to the senior management team and then a follow up email acknowledging the offer.
Based on what I'm reading here, I'm very cautious about continuing. I'll jump if they screw up

Give Medicann a go if not for you then its totally understandable after your experience 🤟 free to join so nothing to lose :) I've got them 5 patients in the past 2 weeks everyone has had the exact same experience so far - quick, easy & ultra impressed by the quality of service provided free of charge

I feel ya mate.

I really struggle with the admin side of MC, I nearly called it a day like you at points.

Medicann have been admin free for me and aside from a minor app issue in the beginning it has been wild how smooth it is been.

From my first appt to to acceptance was about 15 hours. I had to change something on my records, they called back the second I uploaded it .

They just seem to be on it..

I've given Alternaleaf one last chance to sort it out - mainly because I'm here for the carts, despite the stock situation being rubbish compared to two months ago. The doc who was supposed to correct the script a month ago has still taken no action and my script has now expired. Of course, the inventory situation is now completely different, so I've just done a wee bit of research to cobble together some products and I have a callback at 2pm. If I don't have a fully correct script in my inbox within 48 hours, I'm out and I'll try Medicann. If that doesn't work, I'm out of medcann altogether. The admin required is *insane*, tbf. If I'd heard stories of everything proceeding easily from that first script, I'd stick around, but month on month, it sounds like rejigging scripts, using multiple pharmacies to have it fulfilled, and on and on and on... Dodgy Dave might not have the desired low-anxiety strains I'd like, but dealing with him is a breeze! 😂

I hope it works out for you mate.

For reference with Medicann, they only show what's physically in stock. So when you put your request in it is usually approved and dispatched by IPS if you've paid before 4pm.

If you run out, just order more. No bother.

The only admin I've seen is getting them to add strains that IPS have shown as in stock, but they do offer the Clearleaf®, Aurora®, Vida and 4C Labs carts so you should be good.

The only thing I miss AL for was the ability and lack of resistance to send my script elsewhere. Having the selection of Montu, IPS, etc. was nice. That said, I started to use IPS frequently when I was with AL so at the time it didn't really matter.

But there's no emails or half working portal, it's all super smooth and more importantly speedy.

Sounds good. The script I've prepared for submission is all IPS, anyway. I'm really surprised to see that there's a significant price disparity between them and Montu pharmacy on some products - Vida Super Lemon Haze cart, for instance. Mad, when both pharmacies are available via Alternaleaf. IPS do seem to be the better pharmacy, overall. Another ticked box for Medicann, eh.

I'm fairly sure the Vida carts have had really recent price reductions because they're rebranding or something along those lines.

From what I've been told IPS rotate stock frequently buying little and often. This means they can get the deals at wholesale and pass the savings on to us.

Montu and others buy larger and less frequently so they're less able to pass on savings as they bought it at full cost.

Take that with a pinch of salt but that's the brief explanation I've had on why IPS seems to be so on it.

See how you get on with AL today but if you need any more advice or experiences from Medicann then plenty of us have switched over recently.

Still no joy with AL. I gave them til today's ordering cut-off to sort it out, but I've received nowt, as yet.

I'm so absolutely frustrated with them. I've spent 5.5 hours on the phone to them in the past month and sent >20 emails. I've rarely contacted them more than once a week, I've been super-polite, and I've been really patient and mindful of the fact that they've had a huge increase in new patients, have recently onboarded new staffers, have had a bank holiday/competitor data breach/system update *and* every time I've contacted them I've had a summary of the situation to date and all the evidence required for them to just jump on and sort it out, but requests just seem to loop around infinite CRM task queues and never get resolved.
Turns out the doc who wrote my (incorrect) script 6 weeks ago is 'not currently available', so all the requests for a rewrite have just been sent to an inactive task queue. You'd have thought that a consultant who was 'unavailable' for an extended period of time would at least have had their tasks diverted to another staff member
3 days ago, a lovely customer service agent sent an urgent request, asking for an alternative consultant to listen to the original prescription call and issue a script rewrite, but thus far, nada. I'll wait til 1530 today, but I'm jumping ship at 1531, if nothing comes through.

Anyway - enough moaning about AL. A question for you, @joint_account . I've done the eligibility and uploaded all my docs to Medicann, but is there anything I need to ask AL to do before I submit everything for the transfer? Do they need to issue a discharge letter or some such thing before Medicann will accept me as a patient? I know you've transferred multiple times, you're clearly something of an expert!

Also, do Medicann patients now have access to the complete instock IPS formulary?

Thanks!

Yes you would need a discharge letter from AL before Medicann can prescribe.

I moved from Releaf to Alternaleaf and I'm starting to think it was a mistake. Similarly to you, I'm finding MC admin hard work and anxiety inducing

I thought a new clinic could prescribe your first prescription without a discharge letter and then would need your discharge letter before they could prescribe your second prescription.

That is what CB1 Medical told me a few weeks ago.

I can't believe how Alternaleaf are treating people. I would just leave

No, you can't overlap and potentially be with two clinics. When I transferred to AL I had my initial appointment but had to send my discharge letter before they would release the first prescription

Sorry to hear you're also finding it a bit of a struggle. Sympathies 🙏

Yeah, it's really not been a great experience so far, but I honestly think they're dealing with a huge increase in demand and the standard 3 month recruiting-onboarding lag. Leaving inactive task queues undiverted is pretty poor, though. It's one of those things which happens with CRMs, sadly. On a positive note, I've found their call centre crew to be pretty personable and helpful, even if they're somewhat stymied by the internal systems (and you have to wait 45-60 mins for your call to be answered). I expect their service will have improved greatly in 6 months' time, once their new recruits are all up to speed and have a little experience under their belts 🤞
