UK Cannabis-based products for medicinal use: call for evidence from Patients

Hi Everyone,

I saw this posted on Reddit, I haven't seen it posted here after having a quick scan through and I think it's quite relevant.

As patients, we are being asked to share our experience with medical cannabis, including how well it works, what barriers we face, and any issues with cost, access, etc. Our feedback will help the Labour government and future governments to review the current rules and could lead to changes that make treatment more effective and easier to access for patients.

You can submit evidence here.

It is a relatively lengthy questionnaire with some relevant/irrelevant info and a call for testimony.

High @joint_account, holy crap, amazing find! 🚨 This definitely needs flagging.
@Muiredach @GrownHealth @Smokie McGreen you legends, have you seen this? Pretty sure you have, but might be worth a little nudge.

Feels like we need a proper top-tier alerting system, a real “Call to ar ... erm ... um.. Keyboards.”
Something like: “Hey folks, would be awesome if you could fill this out or sign the petition.”

All the questions are aimed at medical practitioners, researchers and companies in the industry not the patients.

Just spent an hour filling in everything as thoroughly as possible. I thought I'd get a summary of what I'd written at the end to share here, but looks like it just submits.

In brief, I spent a long time going through: cost; how flower can't really ever be licensed (for NHS use) and 90%+ of current patients use it; issues with clinics trying to limit treatment options to their own commercial formulary breaking basic medical ethics; lack of proper documentation such as PILs/COAs; lack of police awareness; issues with false 1% CBD claims on flower still being allowed by MHRA; general comments on positive experience seen from patients; removing 50,000+ from using illicit cannabis sources etc.

All the questions are aimed at medical practitioners, researchers and companies in the industry not the patients.
There's quite a few more industry related questions yes, but they specifically ask for patient feedback:

Nice one i will fill this out. I had my yearly on the 4th and i had a new doctor as Dave Howells quit Mamedica® and she was amazed i havent had a nightmare since jan 20th 2023 i know the date as i know my first prescription date arrived and stopped them. It went from back to back 2 per night down to zero. I told my NI health minister about this and they ignored me and told me that i should not be using cannabis for ptsd according to nice. Are labour going to be as thick as mike nessbit and ignore evidence?
