Having reading a couple of peoples experience of the Cannabis Clinic Cardiff I thought I'd look into it.
At first appearance it looks expensive ,but when I broke it down it didn't look so expensive after all.

As the £33/month can quite easily be negated with the Grow Access Project discounts that aren't available at many other clinics.

Also there's various oils available at usually £5 discount, so in effect after paying your initial joining consultation, you could easily break even or even save a few quids if you use a lot of Grow Access Project products.

Here I am, thinking about switching.

I've been (I think) really generous with Mamedica® in the past, even though they put patients through the pain of them growing by catching up with more staff and better systems rather than putting it in place ready. Periods where you can wait 2hrs on the phone, emails ignored.

Issues have cropped up in the past and sort of been resolved satisfactorily, and service levels improved for a while, but I'm back to basically being ignored if I email them (both the clinic and the dispensary). My latest script delivery was missing an item and it's basically not getting resolved so far.

Can someone with this Cannabis Clinic Cardiff clinic please give me the lowdown? Like for Mamedica it's all in-house clinic to meds delivery.

So I go to CCC, have my consultation - do they email me a script I can use at one pharmacy or divide between a few, I then deal with that/those pharmacies direct?
Mate All I do is send them my request and leave it to them to pick the pharmacies required and it's often only one but two this time .

So I send my request then I'll get confirmation of my request (within a day )and a RM tracking number for each prescription to the relevant dispensary so I know where it is ,then the dispensary contacts me to confirm who I am and invoice me and when paid it gets sent out and I like you was used to Mamedica's inhouse way and this is different but much better and flexible regards choices and I've soon adapted and even when a rewrite is needed it's frighteningly quick so far .

I absolutely know I've made the right choice but it's a personal decision to suit each of us and the initial outlay is steep but if you can It's much less stress/frustration and I've just got on with my Medical Journey with better options and a more slicker/personal clinic I feel and that's after a few months 🙏

Head a bit scrambled today but you get my gist .😁

Thanks for that, this is exactly what I needed to hear (both in the details, and your personal experience)

I've got one topic outstanding with the clinic where I've emailed twice and we're getting on for a month where I've not even had an acknowledgement.

Then this issue with pharmacy I'm just in anxiety city, all jittery as fuck, don't know if I'll have all the meds I need for the month and I shouldn't be getting like this due to the very people who are supposed to be helping manage my condition. Stuff goes wrong thats part of life, but fixing it and not either ignoring me or forcing me to call when I find it so stressful is what we should expect.

Did you just have the intro consultation when you switched and then moved straight to quarterly? Just trying to work out cost over the immediate period

Do I need anything from my current clinic as part of the transfer process, or can I just tell them to stuff it when I'm set-up with the new one?

@node mentioned to me in the past its not problems arising as that happens it's how they deal with them and I really feel they are there with a response when I need it and solutions that is not so forthcoming with volume clinics .

I really couldn't see them ignoring you as they seem a genuinely caring team.(y)

Cost is the initial £250 and you have an hour consultation so you get into it more than with previous consultations I've had or been witness to and following that you have a follow up quarterly for half an hour and I pay for this as £33 /month so I just think of it as £1/day ongoing after the initial outlay but also these quarterly consultations can be paid in one go at the relevant time (y)

Thanks man, I've filled out the Cannabis Clinic Cardiff eligibility form for someone to contact me, I've reached the point where I can't make excuses for Mamedica® any more

Do you need something from your existing clinic to tranfer to CCC, or they just gonna start fresh with SCR and meds history, etc?

You mean call Cannabis Clinic Cardiff?

I hate it mate. Gives me super anxiety just thinking about calling someone. Someone calling me unscheduled out of the blue can sometimes cause a panic attack.

A call is culturally treated as more urgent than an email. I've explained to Mamedica® staff countless times that I need to engage in writing wherever possible but they just don't give a fuck.

As far as I'm concerned with Mamaedica now they can stuff it. It looks like I'm not going to get my full meds for easter despite following their process of doing everything early. They still haven't responded / resolved / explained or anything.

I was just wondering if I need anything from them to do a transfer to CCC, or I can just deal with the new place.

What happens on the months with no consultation?

Will they write a script for whatver I ask for like Mamedica does?

Cheers mate, sounds to me from what I've read and what others have shared that the benefits in my situation will be:

- A clinic that seems to actually give a shit (i.e. puts patients at least somewhat ahead of profit instead of clearly behind)

- Access to all flowers (instead of limited Mamedica® formulary) with a simple repeat ordering process

- Consults with an actual Dr, a Consultant even!, each time rather than a clinician just doing a checklist

- Likely to talk about my disabilities & conditions and my health / life alongside canna as a treatment in a bigger consult slot (rather than a rushed 15-minute 'promise you still keep it locked away from children' type of arse covering questions their end

- They will actually send updates to my GP (in my last GP appointment they'd never heard from Mamedica and it'd been about 6 months at that point!)

- They apparantly respond to emails and treat them like any other mode of contact (not putting barriers up to patients by saying if it's urgent you've got to call)

Am I missing anything?

Sorry man, I'm with you on calling, my mobile always on silent. Your right to move to CCC.

No 🤔

Sorry man, I'm with you on calling, my mobile always on silent. Your right to move to Cannabis Clinic Cardiff.

I hope so, it feels right, though I feel like I'm back to square one in some ways as I have to go through getting stuff from GP, 'proving' that I should be allowed to continue with the same treatment plan to someone else, learn a new system, etc

Oh, and obviously spend a not insignificant £250 that I was saving when I was about to be on £75 a year with Mamedica®

But we have to draw a line somewhere and they've been pissing over mine 😐

250 plus 30 odd a month. I would rather be with them than CB1 Medical but the cost difference is dramatic. It's not so much the 250 but the constant monthly drip that i can not justify.

Yes you're right I've obviously had to factor that in too, which is why I was looking at 'other' benefits too

I guess this is because they aren't creaming off the actual medication like Mamedica® do

@Lozbunnz you'll get much better service here but its £650 in the first year beore medication.

I'm in! First script in progress

I can already 'taste the difference' so to speak.

The joining process was well explained, clear, the folks at this clinic are responsive (particuarly to email compared to other places)

I already feel like a cared-for patient rather than someone to be milked for cash

Congrats dude and glad your already feeling reassured and are already noticing the difference in communications .Its coming up to my fifth month now with them and no issues at all and I absolutely know I made the right decision 💚
