The clinic provides mental health assessments for people interested in a trial of a Cannabis-Based Medicinal Product (CBMP).

Cannabis Clinic Cardiff (CCC) is a patient-centred, clinician-led Private Medical Clinic.

Patients can self-refer to the clinic for a FREE eligibility assessment. An initial appointment with a Specialist Consultant will follow, assessing symptoms and medical history to determine your suitability for having a trial of a CBMP.

There is no guarantee that an initial appointment will result in a prescription of a CBMP and any prescribed product will be determined as appropriate following discussion with the prescriber.

At present, CBMPs can only be prescribed for a limited range of conditions and for patients who meet minimum eligibility criteria.

Having reading a couple of peoples experience of the CCC I thought I'd look into it.
At first appearance it looks expensive ,but when I broke it down it didn't look so expensive after all.

As the £33/month can quite easily be negated with the Grow Access Project discounts that aren't available at many other clinics.



Also there's various oils available at usually £5 discount, so in effect after paying your initial joining consultation, you could easily break even or even save a few quids if you use a lot of Grow Access Project products.

Probably July, once I'm at home more consistently for a few months but potentially sooner, I think I'm ready.

Perhaps a little less straightforward about ahem Upstate Blue Dream recently , but on this one we don't joke.

Being spot on with emails from the off (and still now after being with them a year myself) was the first moment I realised everything was going to be good now for me clinic-wise. And it really has been!

Nothing, I love it, but a few of us been joking about it being shite so everyone doesn't buy it all. Usually when a strain gets good reviews relative to it's price-point it gets cleared in no time.

Only Botanical Health Dispensary has charged me delivery, specials, IPS, Montu, Curaleaf, it's free unless splitting deliveries from one script.

It's based on the pharmacy policy

I'm doing the maths now. I've ordered 46 strains this year at £2,700. If i did the same at Botanical trying to cheap it I'd spend £2,501. add the £33.33, that's £2,534.33 and then the sign up fee takes it to £2,784.33 for the same period of time. Obviously in the "next period" that would be back at £2,534.33 over 4 months. So a saving of around £45pm.

They really are a patient focused clinic and team that go that extra yard to make it as smooth a journey as possible with an actual interest in your wellbeing and I find it heart warming when time and again other patients who are at Cannabis Clinic Cardiff describe the same level of service/care I'm familiar with over and over again , says it all really

I have it split into 3 X4 monthly periods. Jan-April ( Medicann), May-Sept (same time period as Medicann + same grams). Then the next 4 months is the same as the last 4 months without ÷ £250.

Medicann (433g total)
£2,776 ÷ 433g = £6.41/g


Cardiff (433g total)

Products + postage
£2,501 ÷ 433g = £5.78/g

Monthly fees (~4 months)
£33.33 × 4 = £133

With monthly fees (no signup)
£2,501 + £133 = £2,634
£2,634 ÷ 433g = £6.08/g

I love a saving but it's the clinical aftercare that makes the difference for me. I'm just biding my time

I just wanted to share a little more about some more recent interactions with Cannabis Clinic Cardiff.

In speaking with them by biggest concern is paying £250, being accepted and them not being able to match Medicann's allowance so I end up withdrawing and losing the cash. Really I need 120g even though I may only use 90g most months.

To try and help around this, the CCC team are going to speak with Dr. Howells on Tuesday to look at my application and see whether or not he would prescribe me that amount before we have my initial appointments.

The aftercare @NuggetofGreen mentioned really is obvious from the outset of talking with them.

For reference, I dropped my current clinic an email today asking about stock levels and when/if they'll add some new bits. I was told bluntly that there's 170 'options' and that should be enough.

You can see in that example alone what you're paying for with CCC.

I'm hoping to be part of the club sooner than I thought, they seem able to help with my travel issues so it all seems smooth sailing if the doc approves the allowance.
